We had a wonderful stay at Tracey's house. The view is incredible! The house was very cozy and we slept extremely well in the super comfy beds. Breakfast was also amazing. And Tracey was a very friendly host. We'd love to come back and explore the Mourne Mountains area more! Thanks again :)
The Morne Lodge is located between the Spelga Reservoir and the Silent Valley, where the Morne Mountains sweep down to the sea, within a 15-minute drive from Cranfield Beach.

OAKWOOD GLAMPING Mourne Mountains in Moyad provides accommodations with a garden and a terrace. There's a private entrance at the campground for the convenience of those who stay.
Quiet area in the hillside. Olivia helpfulness and good communication throughout our stay. Her generosity in providing milk, tea, butter, treats etc. The warm, cosy, beautifully decorated apartment. Comfortable beds. Spotless space. Wonderful views. Lots of intersting information leaflets on the local area and guided walks.

Hotel owners have done a fine job, re-vamping this hotel. While the fishing port seems to be vibrant and busy the town overall looks neglected with buildings in need of refurbishment and very poor street surfaces. The town needs some good restaurants to showcase its rich fish heritage and activities to keep visitors in the town.

Moving around Kilkeel is very easy.
Moving around Kilkeel is very easy. Most things are within walking distance. I really recommend the local fish and chips and the seaside area. Also there are lots of hiking areas in close proximity (silent valley, narrow water castle).

We visit friends in Kilkeel, it is a lovely little town with a good choice of places to eat, we especially like Cunninghams. Asda and Eurospar for groceries. Ideally situated for walking in Mourne Mountains or getting the Carlingford Ferry across to Eire.

Great location for exploring the Mournes and nearby Carlingford. Difficult to socialise due to government restrictions but everyone we met was really friendly. Felt much safer here than in other nearby towns.
I loved everything! This is a fabulous B&B in every way. The accommodation is well-furnished and exceptionally comfortable and clean. My bedroom overlooked the garden, with the mountains and the sea in the distance - a truly lovely, relaxing view! The breakfast was magnificent. The hosts also provided home-made scones and treats on arrival - yum! There is good parking and the property is handy to Kilkeel, Carlingford and the Mournes. I can't recommend this accommodation highly enough - I would give it 11 out of 10 if possible.
Warm welcome. The conversation. The knowledge of local area re walking. Cleanliness of the house rooms etc. Beautiful decor cheerful, fresh without being artificial. A home. It was like being at home that feeling. I could relax. Dietary requirements catered for. Delicious breakfast worthy…much better than many 5* hotels I’ve stayed in,
Stunning scenery and setting. I have stayed in many different bed and breakfasts around Ireland, this is one of THE best I have experienced. Thank you Anne and Wilson.
Absolutely everything. Easy to locate, the views are spectacular (Ireland at her finest), the property is spacious, beautifully designed and with a real County Down style warmth.
Tracey & Paddy are the finest - nice, decent and engaging folk with great chat & craic.
And a great breakfast to top it all. I’m a new fan of vegetable roll (contains meat).
No word of exaggeration - this gem is worth being a destination in it’s own right. It is and will be for me.
I stayed at Millbay house with a group of friends and our children. The house was perfect for the type of getaway. There was a huge garden for the kids to play in, the views from the house are beautiful, the beach is about a 3 minute drive away and there are a lovely towns near by (with excellent fish and chips in Kilkeel!). Our hosts were super helpful and attentive and the house was spotless and very comfortable. Planning our return trip already :)
It is a wonderfully inviting home. Plenty of light. Well maintained, clean. I was there in winter, and it was warm and cosy. I can imagine it being light and breezy in the summer. Perfectly situated; Greencastle a short drive away, as is Kilkeel, and the Mournes. The sea a mere 5 minutes walk. The owners were very accommodating. I shall be returning next year...
We absolutely loved our stay here! Can’t say enough good things about this beautiful rural property or the small family that runs it. Big comfortable room and sparkling clean too. The other facilities were wonderful too and oh my, what an awesome breakfast. The setting is mountain and pasture, right near Kilkeel. If you’re in this area, stay here!🍺🇮🇪🤓
The room was spacious and beautiful. Loved the comforter! There was also a sitting area with fireplace and large table with available snacks and tea - truly a home away from home. Hazel is a lovely host! Not only was her wheaten some of the best I had in Ireland, she went above and beyond to ensure I had what I needed for the rest of my day.
The location if fantastic , close to the Mourne Mountains and the Silent Valley Park, also short drive to near by towns for little shopping and dinner , recommend Harbour Inn in Annalong , great food. As far as the accommodation , it is just like home from home. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Would definitely go back again.
We stayed at the apartment with kids and friends, loved the accommodation, it's location and also it's very affordable compared to caravans and hotels nearby. It has access to the beautiful garden and the inside design of the house is gorgeous too. Close to the beach, national park and town. Highly recommend!
This was a lovely home with a beautiful view of the countryside. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. They even arranged transportation to the nearby town for us to have dinner and listen to live music afterwards. The morning breakfast was outstanding and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!
I booked the hotel only a day before our stay and the staff was amazing, we checked in late, after dinner time and the kitchen staff was just lovely, they made us some pizzas anyway and we went to the bar for drinks, they had a live band which just added to the amazing atmosphere and had a great time!
The hosts were friendly and courteous, and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty to choose from the menu. The property is situated near the Mourne Mountains and is therefore the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of Northern Ireland.
Rooms were exceptionally clean and breakfast was superb. Nice personal touches throughout the accommodation, including some home baked biscuits and muffins. Gareth very helpful with recommendations and very accommodating. Bnb is very close to Kilkeel and ideally situated for hiking the Mournes.
Beautiful, well kept B&B just outside of Kilkeel. would recommend to anyone staying for business or pleasure. Just a short drive from the Mourn mountains, and a fantastic view of both the mountains and sea.
Owner, Sam was a great guy. Breakfast was awesome.
Can't wait to go back next year.
Pauline was a great host. She was there to greet you and explain how the hottub and kitchen appliances work, the house is home from home all you need to enjoy a great stay, make use of the commentary taxi and 10% discount at the Kilmory Arms Hotel, the food is great 👍
Thanks you Pauline
This is actually my favourite hotel, I come here regularly as the food is amazing, so decided it would be the perfect spot to bring my 1 year old grandson for a wee night away.
Wonderful views. Good parking. Lovely and clean. Milk and cereals left for breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Short drive into Kilkeel. Hope to return next year.
