The accommodation is just off the high street. We had our own vehicle, but there is an excellent rail service just a short distance away which runs to Edinburgh and also direct to London. The high street is a little run down, but people very friendly, easy parking, chinese takeaway was excellent, mini supermarket (Co-op i think), cashpoint.

The town is not particularly interesting and the main street through town looks a bit run down, but the location suited us very well. It has a good Co-op with long hours and a bakery - important for self-caterers.

Easy to access rail station for adventuring further afield rather than driving. Good supermarket within short walk of property.
Lots of takeaway options but no restaurants, however just a 40 minute walk to North Queens Ferry there is a wonderful restaurant called Wee Restaurant serving excellent food so well worth the walk.

An unsung gem of the Kingdom of Fife.
An unsung gem of the Kingdom of Fife. It gets chilly - bring a sweater and rain-proof clothing. The buses and trains seem to function with great convenience for a fellow pedestrian traveller such as myself. The cuisine of Inverkeithing is quite magnificent: Try the town’s lusciously decadent deep fried pizzas, washed down with a refreshing can of cream soda, ginger beer, or indeed whichever carbonated beverage which may take your fancy to cleanse and refresh your palate.

I was staying in Inverkeithing because of its proximity to Kirkcaldy as I was visiting my mother in hospital there after travelling up from London. Accommodation prices in Inverkeithing are generally lower but with great transport links, road and rail, it is an ideal place to stay and explore the surrounding areas. For example, I would have liked to have stayed longer and gone to nearby Burntisland - a favourite seaside destination when I was a child.
I did enjoy crossing the iconic Forth Bridge to get to Edinburgh though and had my mobile phone out to film it!!

We stayed in Inverkeithing because its only a short journey from Edinburgh, but without the crazy prices during the festival. It served that purpose well, and the beautiful views across the bay on my morning run were a delightful unexpected bonus.
Beds were comfortable, staff lovely and very friendly, shower was good, room was clean and warm, tea and coffee facilities were alot better than other hotels I've visited, shower gel etc provided, great location close to train station shops and town centre. Plenty parking in car park. Good security with code for door later at night. Good if travelling alone.
It was easy to get transport from the homestay in Inverkeithing to Edinburgh and there are also great places to see nearby such as Fife Walking and Dunfermline Abbey. The hosts are amazing people, kind and respectful. Their house is comfortable and quiet.
The price is excellent! Stephan was great with us! Very sympathetic and kind! The room was good. The bus or train is too close. There is a supermarket and there is a place that sell pizzas, burgers, etc very close to the hotel.
Very friendly and helpful hosts. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Seating available in a lovely garden. Homemade breakfast. We felt like we were with family. The house is right on the Fife Coastal Path, which we were hiking.
