A lovely quiet location ideally situated for walking with many trails to choose from literally just outside the front door. Stunning surroundings and an ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle. Relaxing, good standard of food in and around the local area but within easy reach of the main motorways. The Hood Arms, The Farmers Arms, The Lamb Inn are highly recommended. Walks to the Quantock Hills, Holford Combe and Kilve Beach are lovely walks to consider. Creams teas at the nearby Combe Hotel are also not to be missed.

Holford is a really pretty village and an ideal base to explore the Quantocks. The village has a friendly pub, The Plough Arms which offers good value food and there is a hotel, Combe House where we had afternoon tea in the garden.

The property was very good and the surroundings and furnishings were top quality. It would be very difficult to get to the hotel without transport as it is about a mile off the main road, down a single track road and very remote. If you like peace and quiet and solitude it would be ideal.

Our room had a small conservatory attached which was a big plus - as was the cream tea brought to our room! We went for a wonderful walk from the hotel along the river and the bar staff and service at the delicious breakfast on our first morning was excellent. The hotel is not far from the main road but gave us a feeling of peace and isolation in a deep valley in the hills. A wonderful spot with easy access to some fabulous countryside. Dinner was excellent.

Characterful hotel in a great tucked away location for access to some fabulous country walks. Our room was a good size & very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Could do with lighter weight duvet for warmer weather. Staff very polite and helpful. Food exceeded expectations in restaurant with well spaced tables.

Good quiet location Lovely history with the property and surrounding buildings. Welcoming and friendly greeting and hospitality, plus the evening meal was perfect. It was nice to have the interactions with other guests, rather than the cold corporate type hotel stiffness. I would highly recommend.
