The place had character and was cosy. Better than staying in a chain hotel. As they don't cook evening meal we asked for suggestions and he was more than helpful and went to one of them and he was right it was perfect.

we just needed somewhere clean and comfotable to stay for a night and this hotel was more than adequate, and for the price it was good value, a restaurant /bar would have been good especially as there is neither on the service area.

Great breakfast, once I asked about non-dairy milk (it never seems to be out on display) and I appreciated the vegan options and great fruits - an improvement over two years ago. Room, bed and bathroom comfortable and clean and a good price. The setting, grounds and gardens are awesome.

The room was perfectly spacious for one and well-furnished, with a comfortable bed. The setting of the property is reasonably quiet, and the room was well away from the bar, so it had a peaceful feel to it. Appreciated the fact that it was also a CAMERA listed establishment. It was easy to drive from there to the Wrekin or to Ironbridge, both areas worth exploring. The food was excellent, as was the service. I linked up with family whilst there, and we all enjoyed our meal.
