Helensburgh is a pretty town with plenty of good eating places and pubs. It has a very picturesque waterfront with ample seating. There is a large leisure centre with gym and a swimming pool or you can just sit in the cafe. There are public toilets on the pier. There are 3 well known supermarkets, but preferably use the local butchers, fishmongers and greengrocers. A regular bus service runs through the town, but there is also plenty of free street parking and a couple of good size carparks. Because of its location Helensburgh is a great for exploring further afield.

Helensburgh is a charming Victorian seaside town on the Firth of Clyde. It has excellent facilities for such a small place. If you don't have a car, everything you need is in the town. If you do have a car, it is a wonderful base for touring, with the beautiful hills and glens of the highlands on your doorstep.

Helensburgh is a fairly big town with a variety of shops and restaurants. There is an 'open' feel to the place, the roads are wide with big pavements. We went to the Ruby a Chinese restaurant which was very nice with friendly staff. The second night we went to the Mare Mire which had lovely pizzas and Italian food. The local people are friendly.
Helensburgh is ideally situated to explore the west of Scotland
Everything was lovely. The warm welcome and drinks in the conservatory on arrival were very much appreciated. The property had been well thought out, very clean with comfortable rooms and a beautiful garden. Anne and John were super hosts and gave great advice with regards the area and places to go. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We found a super local tapas bar for our evening meals with great food and friendly staff. Loved our stay.
The flat was faultless. It had everything you could possibly need for the stay and the host had also thoughtfully left towels, treats, bowls and blankets for the dog, as well as milk, butter, homemade cookies, coffee pods and even pastries. A lovely touch. There was loads of space and the bed was perfect especially for those with bad backs! It was a great base to visit the area. We would definitely recommend it and would book again.
Apartment is located in an impressive looking building in a lovely, quiet residential crescent with friendly neighbours. The flat itself was beautifully clean and very comfortable. Was nice to cook for ourselves after staying in B&Bs. Managed to get all of our holiday washing done before returning home. A short walk leads to the seafront of Helensburgh which was also a pleasant surprise. Good communication with owner.
The property was immaculate upon our arrival. The host even gave us a call on our first night to see if everything was ok which was an extremely nice and personal gesture. The flat was far bigger than we thought it was going to be and had everything you required for a short stay. Would highly recommended and would be the first place we would book the next time we are looking to stay in Helensburgh. 5 stars!

Excellent apartment and super host. Very good and quiet location, with easy parking and everything we needed in the accommodation. Would thoroughly recommend to friends and family, and we plan to stay again - far more homely and comfortable than a hotel stay.
This is an amazing apartment. The location is excellent and it is finished to a really high standard. The hosts kept in touch all the way and can honestly say its the best apartment we have stayed in in Helensburgh. Would definitely stay here again.
Breakfast was fine, but not the best we had in Scotland. View from the room was excellent. Staff was very friendly and included a welcome tea and scones. Wifi in the room was very good. Adjoining bathroom was spacious.
The hotel was comfortable and worked well for us for a one night stay. Parking was available on site which was a bonus. Breakfast was fairly basic but ok. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.
location was spot on very peaceful car port by front door made it easy unload car what ever the weather and it kept it cool and dry patio area was really nice to sit and watch boats on loch
Location was very central.
Food was excellent and great value. Bar/restaurant area was nice and had a bit more character than a typical hotel bar. Record player in room was pretty cool.
This palace is amazing, a great location if you want to see proper Scotland (I am originally from Scotland) train station near by for those that don't drive

Location was great with good access to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and Helensburgh had plenty of amenities. Penny and Alex were great hosts and very well organised.
