The Wellington Arms, hotel in Heckfield

The Wellington Arms has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Heckfield. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space and free WiFi.

It was my partner's birthday. Nevermind, we only live nearby but we are regular clients when it comes to the weekend without a children's getaway for lunch, dinner or just pop out for a drink . We decided it would be a lovely treat for ourselves and try what it is like to have a stay . It was absolutely amazing . Food as usual is amazing . With our stay the staff went over and beyond . Our room was amazing , clean , and super relaxing, ESPA toiletries . Breakfast again, was just amazing with lots of options even for vegetarians and vegans . We had breakfast al fresco, which was just magical . Now we are really considering our wedding venue.

Location ok Corridors and carpets really filthy, smelly walking through Ladies at reception helpful, staff in restaurant grumpy bordering unpleasant Put me off having breakfast Food mediocre Bed ok, no hair dryer on the bathroom Only one type of tea available Again carpet bit dirty in the room Had to pay £5 for parking despite being nowhere near city centre I’ve been to other Holiday Inn in the past and this was one of the worst

The Elvetham Hotel, hotel in Heckfield

The Elvetham is a historic 19th-century Victorian Mansion built upon the remains of a Tudor Manor and set within 35 acres of gardens.

Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. The grounds were impeccable. The shower was hot with great water pressure. Staff was pleasant and accommodating even with our late arrival. I would have liked to stay longer, during a cooler week.

The property is absolutely stunning. You you love a Romanic getaway in the country this is the place. Great Service , friendly happy staff which is always a good sign. My only complaint was it was cold in the room due to old windows and bad insulation but the room was very cozy.

Bel and The Dragon-Odiham, hotel in Heckfield

Located in Odiham, 11 miles from Jane Austen's House Museum, Bel and The Dragon-Odiham provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Had a great stay at the Bel and Dragon. We stayed in the family room which was great for us. The bunk beds are in a separate area of the bedroom so once the children were asleep we were still able to have lights on and watch TV in the part of the room without waking them.  The staff were fantastic with a special shout out to Anya who greeted us every morning for breakfast and was really attentive and made us feel welcome.  Our little one has a milk allergy and they were able to cater well for him and offer alternative milk etc easily which made our stay so much easier.  We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Lovely big car park and nice looking property.

Lovely big car park and nice looking property. Decent sized room, but would have loved to see some colour, perhaps in cushions and a few pictures as it was a bit bland. Climb into the bath to shower with a shower curtain, never our favourite. All just a bit tired, with a strangely bumpy floor. However, the price was reasonable and we didn’t pay for luxury.

Very central for dinner at Heckfield Place if you don't want...

Very central for dinner at Heckfield Place if you don't want to pay a ludicrous amount to stay there! The New Inn is about a mile from Heckfield Place but the busy road means it is not recommended to walk. The beds would benefit from a 'Topper' as the mattress was a little uncomfortable. The price for the room was exceedingly low for all the amenities you would expect in a hotel room.

Our room was very spacious and well decorated and the bathroom was beautiful. Lovely big fluffy towels and a comfy bed with crisp fresh linen. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as well as the restaurant staff, where we had dinner, which was very good. The breakfast was also exceptional in our opinion. We had a lovely stay at the Wellington Arms and it was excellent value for money, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel was in a good location; it was pretty, clean and olde-world in style whilst being run efficiently, but with cheerfulness and the right level of personal touch. The room was stylish and lovely; plenty of storage, seating, and spacious, with good views and was well earned with a radiator. The food - both breakfast and evening meal - were cooked well, served promptly, and tasted as good as one might hope for.
