I had one breakfast because I was to late for the second one. The breakfast was an excellent Scottish full breakfast and a sausage for my dog. Everybody was pleased to see my dog. I drank ale at the bar on two occasions. First a Belhaven, and second a Tennent. Both were presented beautifully.

Our hosts (Billy and his wife...goshdarn it i m terrible at remembering people's names!) They both were so kind and hospitable! Great breakfast (my first time trying Haggis...its kind of a cross between oatmeal and chili?) Bed was comfortable and the shower was good!

The house offered enough space for all of us. Since we were 9 people we had plenty of room. Additionally, the multiple bathrooms were a great convenience. The kitchen is well-equipped and stores are not so far away.

Everything was perfect. The place was clean and comfy and the view was amazing. You can see the cows and sit outside and do the BBQ with an amazing view. Liz helped us with everything we needed. Thank you so much and definitely will visit again.

Interesting experience. The place was as indicated in the listing, and we loved the rural setting and amazing views. Know what you're getting into with "glamping" and you'll be very happy with this place.

Harthill is convenient for Edinburgh, Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow, the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We didn't explore Harthill itself much, but it was a great base. The Royal was in a part of town where the restaurant across the road and the convenience store and takeaways which were a few minutes walk away had protective pull down shutters for doors and windows, however we felt quite comfortable on foot for takeaways and the store.
