Good value for money. It's an old listed building which come with it's challenges for modernisation. You get what you paid for and it's fair. Service was good and breakfast was good. Shower issue in 1 room and we reported. Shower enclosure was small but we were only staying 1 night so we were not concerned.

There are many exquisite towns in Sussex with beautiful historic centres. Hailsham is not one of them. It has two ugly modern shopping centres and the town feels rather neglected. I can't see any reason for a casual traveller in the area to visit it.

Didnt really go into Hailsham but daughter did - she was very happy to the facilities in the area - big Tesco - cafes and several restaurants and pubs. We went to the ~Plough for dinner which was a recommendation in the guest book - excellent food and friendly service. Great location or visiting Brighton 25 miles away and Eastbourne 10 miles away.

Hailsham is ok but we were there to visit family. We like Hilliers Garden Centre, which is nearby, for lunch and shopping. Also close to Eastbourne. We like Birling Gap, which is a NT, 20 minutes drive away.

Hailsham is small but has quite a few independent shops (as well as 3 supermarkets)and nice cafes (AJs does a wide range of coffees and smoothies) and a very good Indian restaurant in the High Street. It is the perfect place to stay for getting to places of interest. Drusillas zoo is a 10 minute drive away. Alfriston village which is the oldest village in Sussex is 15 minutes by car. From here you can do beautiful walks on the South Downs Way or walk along the stream (national trust trail) from behind the Clergy House. Hailsham is cheap to stay in and use as a base for visiting the many local places of interest.

Off road.
Off road. Set back in a nice garden space, the hosts live in the adjacent house always available but never intrusive, lovely garden planting, places to sit around the lawn, a patio and chickens in a coop, really enjoyed the space felt cozy and secluded. You do need a car, there is a small village shop but also a supermarket within two miles, the local pub does tasty meals

Hailsham is a quiet market town some miles inland from.the resort towns of Eastbourne and Brighton.
As a town it doesn't offer much in the way of tourist attractions, but near to Herstmonceux observatory science park, some lovely Sussex villages ,and history Hastings about 20 miles away.

This hotel has improved year on year. A group of us come and stay for the Love Supreme Festival in Glynde.
This year, I had a twin room - one of the beds was super comfortable. The other bed could do with a new mattress as it was a bit soft but overall good for a few days.
The twin room we had included a large bathroom with disabled access shower. We didn't need it but it would be great for someone who needs it.
What an absolutely stunning Lodge - location was in a beautiful part of the world. Calm and serene.
One of the nicest properties I have ever stayed in.
It had all you ever needed, clean, modern and the welcome pack was way better than some expensive, swanky hotels.
Thank you so much.
It was an excellent B&B in a lovely location. An excellent breakfast with friendly service. A nice touch was having fresh milk available for tea - I hate having to use UHT in my tea as you do in most hotels.
