A cozy comfortable B&B run by a husband & wife team who are passionate about their accommodation and put their own nice touches to the place. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated, and there is a guest hall upstairs with fresh cakes and tea/coffee. Breakfast is exceptional in both the spread and the generosity, and there is even a special item which changes daily. Lynette is very helpful, warm and welcoming and her passion makes a big difference to a great stay.

We were looking for a traditional B&B to stay at, on our way north. This place fits the bill perfectly. It is in a charming location in the Yorkshire Dales. Mary is a great host and made sure our stay was very comfortable. She cooked us a delicious full English breakfast in the morning. We didn't have much time there as we were travelling, but we were able to fit in a short walk down to the suspension bridge on the river Wharf and tea at the local tearoom. A very enjoyable interlude.

Grassington is a very popular pretty village located in the Yorkshire Dales park. The village has been made famous by the filming of All creatures, great and small. It Has plenty of good bars, restaurants and eateries. Parking is a bit tight during summer periods. If you wish to stay in the area I would suggest to book early.

Wonderful village with excellent amenities and ideal for scenic walks followed by food! great range of cafes, pubs, hotels, fish and chips and a variety of shops. Only slight niggle is the parking is slightly expensive at £3.50 for 2 hrs or £5.50 all day - although card machines were easy to use. There is limited free parking in the village itself but limited to 2 hrs and generally full

Grassington is a lovely place & well worth a visit.
Grassington is a lovely place & well worth a visit. There are pubs, restaurants & cafes, all of which are of a very good standard. It's small & quaint and a great base for walking from. It's great!
All the creative decorations give the entire place (entrance, hall, staircase, room and dining hall) a welcoming and warm atmosphere, without making it kitschy. All of the little details, starting with the handmade shelves, hand-crafted art works all-around the walls, the check-in experience, the Scandinavian style no-shoe policy, ending with how the cooked breakfast is prepared make it obvious that Craiglands is not just a typical B&B in the heart of Yorkshire Dales, but an inviting space that is taken care truly with heart and soul.

Breakfast was great and made to order for each individual. Hosts are very friendly and offered loan of maps of local area to see sights we were interested in. Host asked what kind of cake should be made as she leaves cakes for guests to snack on. Cake was lovely. Good location to walk into Grassington. Parking on site. All other guests were repeat customers and hosts remembered them. Nice to chat with other guests over breakfast in the dining room.
The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was adequate but had lovely 'add ons' such as bottled water and a selection of toiletries. There was a live band (duo) playing Saturday evening. The breakfast was good quality. Grassington in a pretty little village. It was a no frills sort of stay, but, that's what we paid for. We loved it. Highly recommend. The staff made it really, oh, and beautiful walking in Yorkshire ofcourse!
The room was quiet and clean and the bed a truly king-sized. The room had good ventilation well-covered against the early morning sun. It was in a quiet annexe to the hotel and we received help to store our bikes safely. The room was well equipped with fridge etc. so we were fine for breakfast (not part of the deal). Place is close and very convenient to the center of town but outside the major hustle and bustle.
We were in Grassington for a Wedding and didn't manage to get to the Hotel till late at night.
Staff were really helpful, put my name on the door so I knew which room were in and left it open.
Only spent a short time in the room which was lovely and the breakfast was a 10 out of 10.
If we manage to get to Grassington again this is the B&B we will be booking.
Being in the heart of the charming village of Grassington while it was being converted to "Darroby" for the filming of All Creatures (TV series) was amazing, made all the more wonderful by the amazing staff and amenities of the Devonshire! Great room with old beamed ceiling and beautifully appointed bath. Dinner and breakfast were both exceptional!
The Hotel was lovely. The room was great, nice clean bathroom with shower, and the bed was very comfortable indeed. Great location in the centre of Grassington, and the breakfast was beautiful. The restaurant for evening meal (The Morral) was lovely aswell and not too expensive. Great portions for evening meal and breakfast. Service was great.
Great location, village at grasslington exceed my expectation's. Great places to eat and lots of local shops that deserve our support. Lots of local walks.
The guest house is good for a short stay on your way through Yorkshire dales.
Best selection of tea coffees, hot chocolate we have been provided. Free parking always a good perk
Everything. Grassington is a fantastic place to relax. Lottie’s Loft is right at the center of the village, close to pubs, shops, various walking trails and the local bus stop.
Close to the river!
It is exceptionally cozy, private and specious ( especially for a single traveler). Good Wi-Fi , clean .
Everything was exceptional from the location to the food to the comfort of the rooms, but the staff really make it shine. Such incredible and warm hospitality, I can’t wait to come back again. Very easy drive to Gordale Scar and other destinations near the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
A great base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Our room was comfortable, spacious and quiet with a lovely view over towards Conistone Dib. The carvery was excellent, the staff courteous and accommodating and the delicious breakfast fuelled us up nicely for the day's walking.
The location was great ,the room was spotless and very comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful, having never been to Grassington before I think we made a superb choice of accommodation, will certainly be returning to this hotel.
Good location, few minutes from grassington by car ( 20 mins walking)
Nice friendly traditional pub/bar/hotel
Staff very friendly and helpful (cheers phil)
Food excellent and plentiful... never made it to dessert.
Location is amazing and the house is a fabulous old period stone cottage. We have been to Grassington several times but never seen Ashfield House as it is tucked back off the main high street, what a find!
Everything was perfect for a short break in the Yorkshire Dales, couldn't have asked for more. Rooms were clean and comfortable, the host was nice and breakfast was delicious (especially the sausages)
