The rooms were nice and spacious, have independent access doors and locks and separate kids bedrooms adjoined to main room.
Beds were really decent size and comfortable, rooms well dressed and comfortable.
Unfortunately all of this was let down by the aggressive and brutish behaviour of the owners.

Everything. I really have no words to describe the perfection of the Old Stables room (loft? Mini-apartment?) I would happily live there forever. The room was huge, beautifully decorated in a fabulous equestrian motif (the Farrier is at the original blacksmith shop), sparkling clean, and too many amenities to list. The food is delicious and plentiful. We had the full English breakfast and it set us up for the whole day! Everyone on staff were really lovely and so kind. I wish we could’ve stayed for more than one night!

We stayed at the Greyhound Inn at Ganton as it was 18 minutes away by car to Scarborough where we like to go and we got a genious offer with booking.com. We had breakfast and an evening meal there and both were excellent and my gluten free and alternative non dairy milk was catered for.

Great place for a base to explore North Yorkshire and many costal towns. The hotel is a stand alone with nothing around but the golf course. That said once you get there there really is no need to go out anywhere else, the food, beer and wine is good and there is a wonderful garden in which to enjoy your evening.

The location is perfect for getting up and down the East Coast which is why we chose it. But the Greyhound is a real find- the facilities are wonderful, the food is outstanding, and the staff are all helpful and happy to help you, with a sense of humour to boot. We will be back!

Our stay far exceeded expectations.
Our stay far exceeded expectations. We just wanted a short break to get away and the Ganton Greyhound fitted the bill perfectly. We've already decided that we will return in the future but for longer next time

Warm welcome on arrival.
Warm welcome on arrival. Beautiful spacious room, on site car parking. Lovely evening meal with great service. Beautiful hearty breakfast to set us up for the day. The only problem we had was is was raining so we couldn't go for a walk, but that wasn't Steve or Sharon's fault, they were both a ray of sunshine 🤓
Our family rooms were even bigger and nicer than the photos. All the staff, Lara in particular, were smashing, nothing was to much trouble, just what we needed with our disabled friend. They went above & beyond. Food was superb, salmon & scrambled egg for breakfast, amazing.
Even had a bigger fan in the room, when we returned from what was one of the hootest day of the year.
Out dog, had a welcome pack, spoilt rotten, we are all going back.
Undoubtedly the best hotel, restaurant & bar, Ever!
Great location just outside of Scarborough.
Great Pub/Restaurant/Hotel in lovely gardens and surroundings.
Family Room was great, clean and tidy, with some great little touches (for example, ear plugs).
The courtyard was lovely and we liked the “motel” feel of the property.
The owners were very nice and helpful, really went out of their way to make the stay comfortable and directions and advice on our trip.
Brilliant, we got their and unpacked and went for a nice walk near the ganton golf club and saw some rabbits/hares and came back and had some alcoholic drinks in the sun. We got up bright an early and was welcomed by the owners. Plenty of options to start your day then a full english to finish before we headed off to the armed forces day.Thoroughly enjoyed!
Room very large , bed so comfortable, the added bonus of a doggy pack was thoughtful. We stayed for our anniversary, on being shown to our dining table there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers, box of chocolates and a card from Steve, Sharron and the Ganton Greyhound team which was a wonderful gesture. We were given a warm welcome by all the team.
The two young ladies who welcomed us and seemed to be running the hotel were excellent. Friendly and extremely helpful. The location is excellent for the wold's way, just a few hundred yards off the path. The hotel was quiet and comfortable particularly the bar area. Food was good value.
The hotel was full of character, well run with exceptional staff, the food was fantastic and possibly the best breakfast we have tasted for a very long time, thank you Sharon and Steve for having us, we will definitely be coming through again 😃
The Ganton Greyhound is a beautiful Coaching Inn. The accomodation we booked was spacious, very clean and comfy. Welcoming hosts that looked after us very well. Breakfast and restaurant meals were excellent. Ideal for families and dog owners.
Very comfortable and welcoming hotel. Owners and staff very friendly and accommodating. Ate at hotel on two evenings and breakfast on all three mornings. Could not fault the food in any way and was good value.
The room including bathroom was excellent. The road noise was minimal considering it's proximity to the hotel. The staff were excellent and attentive. The evening meal was exceptional and we'll priced.
I have stayed in this hotel numerous times but first time since new ownership. Hotel is now a lot more smarter and looks great. Bar areas are smart and good selection of drinks. Food was great also.
The staff was pleasant, and the whole decoration of the hotel was so cute and traditional english countryside style. The surrounding landscape was stunning. Comfy bed.
