Lively and popular pub with several rooms for B & B guests. The guest area and rooms have clearly been recently decorated. If all of the bathrooms are as good as the one in my room guests would be very pleased. Excellent food in the restaurant and real ale via hand pumps in the bar, at very good prices

The bed was really big and the bedding was of very high quality.
The property is in the countryside but easy to find and it is only a few miles to Cockermouth, inother words, it is great for access to a variety of places.
The owners (next door) are friendly and helpful.
