Loved the atmosphere in the pub and the rooms upstairs. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable and everyone was very kind. Great breakfast!! Even if the rooms were on the Main Street, the double windows didn’t let any noise through and we slept wonderfully. LOVED the brownies !!

Well situated room on the bus line that we used to get to our dinner location. Very small room, but that was fine for our quick stay. Breakfast was interesting (a slight twist to the full english) and parking was limited but we were able to get a spot due to arriving a bit earlier.

Holiday Inn Express London - Epsom Downs, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Esher

In the grounds of Epsom Downs Racecourse, Holiday Inn Express London Epsom is a stylish, modern hotel with free parking and free Wi-Fi. Epsom Downs Rail Station is just a mile away.

Excellent hotel, everything you need for a convenient and comfortable stay (we were heading to Gatwick, about a 35 min drive but allow extra for possible traffic/GPS issues). Spotlessly clean, good showers, nice sheets, lovely staff, and the best buffet breakfast we’ve had for a long time at this kind of hotel. Nice walk around Epsom racecourse at edge of Downs right across from hotel.

Esher is well situated just outside of London.

Esher is well situated just outside of London. Central London is an easy train ride from Esher to Waterloo, I reckon it's less than half hour away. Esher has great pubs & restaurants and lots of lovely green areas. It's also home to Sandown Park racecourse. A lovely part of the world.

A lovely little town in Surrey.

A lovely little town in Surrey. Some very decent restaurants nearby. We also visited Cobham, Guildford and Dorking. There is a lot of British heritage to enjoy, and some charming National Trust locations in the area as well.

Nice high street with some very good restuarants , walking distance to Sandown racecourse and 20 mins from Kempton so perfect for our stay. Not far from shopping in Kingston and also the river Thames and the great walks you can have.

Esher is a compact town with a proliferation of estate agents and restaurants. We ate at the Cote Brasserie where we had a most enjoyable evening and, bearing in mind this was Esher, it was very good value. Getting around Esher on foot is easy but in a car is decidedly more difficult and parking can also be problematic.

Christine was very welcoming on our arrival and went out of her way to help us with an issue we had. Both of the staff we saw were very friendly and were very helpful. We found it a perfect location as a base to head in to London for the coronation weekend coming up from the south west were we live. 10 mins from the M25/M3 with Tesco and restaurants and pubs just outside. Esher train station is a 10/15 minute walk away with direct trains in to Waterloo station which is a 25/30 minute journey.

We liked everything about West End Lodge. It is situated in a quiet residential part of Esher. The property is beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. Edwina was the perfect host, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, Edwina cooked us whatever we liked. Our bedroom was spotless clean, warm and comfortable. Toiletries were provided and drinks in the fridge. We had a lovely stay so can highly recommend West End Lodge.

The rooms were large and comfortable. Everything you need for your comfort was provided, coffee machine, snacks and mini bar (extra cost), fresh milk which as a tea drinker was welcome. Hotel next to a busy road so secondary glazing was important, as was aircon. Breakfasts with a modern twist if you wanted it. Great choice of food served in the dining pods in the garden. Staff could not have been more obliging.

Great location and better than staying in busy, noisy main road Esher. Very handy having a great restaurant a few metres from room. I ordered the hamburger which was delicious and tasted homemade. The accommodation is to the side of the building with a walled, secure courtyard giving privacy from restaurant. The room and on suite were modern & clean and all one needs for a one night stay.

The location was lovely. The front beer garden very relaxing. We enjoyed a few drinks and spoke to some of the locals and got a feel for the area. Walked into Esher and had dinner at the Wheatsheaf which was amazing. Breakfast at the Swan was lovely. Amazing shower. Lovely touch with the sensor lights in the bathroom, no need to put the big light on.

We recently stayed at The Swan whilst visiting family in Esher. Our room was most comfortable and immaculate as was the attractive ensuite. The staff were very friendly and most efficient. On this occasion we only had breakfast however in the past have also enjoyed dinner. Excellent food and hospitality. looking forward to our next stay. Thank you.

A great weekend at The Bear. Staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. Rooms are impeccable: clean, thoughtfully decorated and spacious. Breakfast is served until 11:30am so it’s perfect for those of us who enjoy a relaxing morning. All in all, a great place to stay! We’ll definitely be back.

Great location for a getaway. The hotel has all you would need; the rooms are a good size and clean. The staff are all friendly, too. I did not try the breakfast, but had an evening meal from the bar. I had the burger which was very good. Good selection of beers, too.

I did not use the facilities on this occasion as I was a late arrival. I used the local restaurants as I had stayed at the hotel before and fancied a different style of food. The food is generally good at the hotel but is traditional on the nights in question.

Great welcome - lovely, warm people. Rather quirky, rambling house overflowing with character. Perfect antidote to chain hotels. Very convenient for Esher and A3. Great breakfast, comfortable room. Pity we didn't have a chance to look around the huge gardens.
