Wonderful time with Matthew. The rooms, food and location were wonderful. Parking was free. Matthews kindness, advice and generosity were much appreciated. Excellent advice on where to eat and best way to visit Edinburgh by train, even though we had a car. Thanks Matthew!

This was our first trip to Elie. We had an amazing time.

This was our first trip to Elie. We had an amazing time. It is a small but self contained town. There was something for everyone to do. Our kids played golf everyday and football by the beach in the evening. We also enjoyed some lovely walks to the neighbouring towns, with the tidal pools, the fishing boats, fresh produce market, wee museums, ice-cream parlous, etc The weather was fantastic, we had no rain at all during our stay and the temperature was for shorts and t-shirts. The beach front is really pretty. Some nice restaurants and pubs also. Definitely recommend a trip there.

Location was great , the property was not a cottage but a garden shed made to live in . When you walked in the damp smell hit you and stayed with you until you left . The rubber on the door has perished , no info on pubs, cafe .

Plenty of space within the apartment and in the beautiful estate, we took our dog with us and the grounds were lovely to walk round, only 10-15 min walk to the stunning Elie beach. The apartment was a great size and very nicely furnished, absolutely spotlessly clean, the owner made regular contact to ensure all was ok before during and after our stay Highly recommend a real gem

Gorgeous room, very nicely decorated, plenty of space, including a generous bathroom with deep bath (no tap end, bonus). Relaxed, cosy bar area with fire. We didn’t realise this was thee place to eat in Elie so got a lovely surprise with a delicious dinner and breakfast. Staff were super efficient and did all they could to help.

I liked the town of Elie and the helpful people. The restaurants in the area, that we had to walk around and find for ourselves, were booked out. Fortunately we found the Pavilion restaurant ,which we could access via the golf course at back of property. The food and staff were excellent and it was reasonably priced

Exceptionally clean and comfortable property. Have stayed in Elie on numerous occasions and Helena Cottage is one of the best in terms of facilities and cosy comfort. Might be a little tight for a larger party but ideal for our needs. Brian was very helpful and responded to our queries timeously.

Very good attention to details - a high standard of fittings within the house. Shower and hot water were great, also the bed, a good size and very comfy - quite firm. Great access to pub food at the 19th Hole, only 50 yards away, which is also dog friendly.
