Al trobar-se al costat de la mar, posseeix un ampli port. Existeix també un extens territori de terres fèrtils que dota de gràcia l'entorn de la capital escocesa. Situat a la ciutat vella i molt aprop de l'estació de tren i de la ciutat nova, aquest hotell té una localització immillorable.
L'habitació no era massa gran, però suficientment confortable per la nostra família de tres.
