Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of hot courses (some very original) and plenty of variety in what was offered in the way of cereals and juices. Warm and comfortable surroundings although the stone floors and wooden furniture may not be to everyone's delight. Large car park at the rear. Nice view of the church and green from the bedroom window.

First time we have stayed in an Inn. It was OK, staff were friendly, room was adequate, location meant we could get to and from the property easily. Lots of restaurants close by. So Ok for a one night stay.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Vance, who kindly offered to help us with our luggage.
They room was spotlessly clean with an amazing ensuite shower room, which looked as though it had recently been fully refurbished.
After a peaceful night, we were treated to an excellent breakfast, personally prepared by David, as good as any we've served in a 5* Hotel. Topped off with a fabulous pot of coffee, as we took in the expansive views of the countryside and watched the donkeys.

The main advice I would give is to book a room furthest away from the main road as there is a lot of traffic on the road including heavy lorries.
East Rudham is a pretty village and an ideal place to tour North Norfolk
The breakfast was delicious and the staff really outgoing and helpful

The location was lovely.
The location was lovely. Typical Norfolk village with lots of nice walks.
The property is not really big enough for 4 adults, the second bedroom is is hazardous with little head room.
Only 2 pillows had protectors on them and were heavily stained as were the duvets.
The log burner had not been cleaned out and the bin in the bathroom had previous guests rubbish in it.
The quality of the kitchen ware was poor, and only one broken tiny chopping board.
It is only a small cottage and would ideally suit just 2 adults .
4 adults could not eat at the table provided and especially at Christmas that's exactly what you would want .
The garden was very overgrown and slippy, not suitable for winter months.
Overall cute cottage but for 2 people only .

A lovely village, beautiful buildings, a pretty village green, and also very convenient, being on the main road- yet somehow not feeling busy
A great alternative to staying right on the coast- a more relaxed option but still super convenient for exploring the many things that north Norfolk has to offer- all on the doorstep

Really pleasant quiet Norfolk village.
Really pleasant quiet Norfolk village. The pub - The Crown serves a good pint of Wherry and has a limted menu but quality food. Good access to the N. Norfolk coast, Holkham Hall which is to be recommended and several National Trust properties. We also enjoyed vising Pensthorpe Natural Park which is a wetland area but with nice gardens and well set up for entertaining children. Nanny P's shop in village has fresh vegatables, local cheeses, bread and cakes and Walsingham farm shop has a good range of cheeses, meat, deli plus other useful items.

Great gastro pub in the village called The Crown, which is very welcoming and dog friendly. Also nice small farm shop and tearoom with tasty cakes, also dog friendly. Unfortunately the butchers has now closed which was a pity. The only negative is that the main Fakenham to Kings Lynn road goes through the village which can be a little noisy but this quietens down a lot at night

The sculpture trail at Houghton House was very interesting, would like to see the house itself, but was not open. Recommend a visit to Pensthorpe Natural Park, so much to do, and an excellent indoor aviary. Nice gift shop next to The Crown Inn.
In fifteen years of using booking.com, during which time I have stayed in hundreds of hotels the length and breadth of Europe, this is the second time I have given anywhere a "10".
The Crown Inn is superb. My room was lovely, really comfortable with a nice bathroom and a good, supportive bed. The food, both at breakfast and evening time, is first rate. There is parking right outside and the wi-fi works. Can't ask for more really! I'll certainly be back.
I really liked the decor of the property which has a lovely period feel. The location was great for visiting different parts of Norfolk and the village of East Rudham very nice. Well equipped kitchen and good quality bed linens.
Lovely cosy cottage. I was staying on a business trip and it allowed me to have my own space and avoid potential COVID infection in a hotel.
It was easy to find, close to where I needed to be and the host was very helpful
Well appointed cottage with comfortable beds. It is in a quiet location in the pretty village of East Rudham. The owner kindly left a little arrival pack of milk, eggs, cake, butter and coffee, which was well received.
Simple but tasty pub food, nice breakfast! Lovely room, felt special which isn't always the case with pet friendly hotels. Very clean and comfortable... a stones throw from beautiful beaches.
