The staff were professional and pleasant. Made us very welcome from arrival till departure. The facilities were great and to sit in the garden before then after dinner overlooking the valley was spectacular.
Sitting next to the River Eden in the beautiful Eden Valley at the edge of the Lake District is the majestic Appleby Castle.

Beautiful old castle and surrounding manor and cottages. Very ancient and historical. Slept in a four poster bed made in 1566.
Lovely to roam around the premises as well as the garden plus trails.
The old Norman era keep was a treat - especially the museum and view from the top.
The evening dining experience was very nice and the food & drink was delicious.

The pod is really cute, perfect for a short stay for 2. Toasty and peaceful at night. Bathroom is right next door, so no trekking miles like some campsites.
The host was friendly and pottering around if we had needed, but let us get on with it. Good location often overlooked as so close the the Lakes, but we had some lovely walks. Great stay and will be back if we can.
Eden Grove Holiday Homes in Kirkby Thore provides accommodations with a garden and a terrace. There's a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay along with our small dog & were made very welcome. All staff were extremely friendly & helpful.
Food was delicious. We will certainly recommend the Kings Arms at Temple Sowerby.

We went to do a walk on the Pennines way which we have done before but it was very foggy. We returned to have another attempt and this time even though it was extremely windy we had the wonderful views we knew we would be rewarded with.
