The Harbour Moon, hotel in Downderry

Located in Looe, The Harbor Moon has a garden, terrace and bar. Guests can sample Grill/bbq at the on-site restaurant. Plymouth is 14 mi from the inn. Newquay Cornwall Airport is 25 mi away.

The room had everything we needed and was a great bargain night. It over looked the harbour and was quiet. The Harbour Moon supplied plenty in the room for breakfast so it didn't matter that they don't do a breakfast.

    Lovely scenery & beach nearby.

Lovely scenery & beach nearby. Great vistas all around the peninsula, of Plymouth & out to sea. Easy to walk to Cawsand/Kingsand & Mount Edgecumbe Country Park is also worth a visit. Beautiful area.

    Quiet location. Ideal for relaxing.

Quiet location. Ideal for relaxing. One pub one shop. cafe and deli/bistro. Limited days opening for eating out so check before you go or be prepared to get in your car if you want a restaurant meal early in the week. Be prepared for very narrow roads. Great beach for dog walking and rockpools.

Downderry is a great location for exploring nearby Looe area either along the coastal walk or via country roads . The Inn on the Shore is the only such establishment in the pretty village and it is ridiculous that no service of food Monday and Tuesday evenings . The next pub is a short drive away (in Seaton) or a precarious walk, not ideal if you want a beer or two with your meal on holiday.

    Not suitable for business/work trip.

Not suitable for business/work trip. Rather than suffer the chaotic breakfast event (see my review), I checked out a day early. I felt I would rather lose a night's money that go through that again.

Thoroughly recommend this Inn; particularly for anyone with a dog! Stunning location , right on the shoreline! We ate in the restaurant each night and we’re very impressed! Very friendly, welcoming staff who went out of their way to make us welcome - even the dog!! We shall definitely be back !! Excellent value for money , and very stylish well- appointed bedrooms .

It’s actually in a Seaton next to Downderry.

It’s actually in a Seaton next to Downderry. The locals are friendly and the place is beautiful. The cafes and restaurants are the worst we’ve seen however and too expensive for what they have to offer.
