The setting is beautiful, and the staff at the main reception and restaurant were very polite . The lounge had some lovely views and the beds were very comfortable, the room and bathroom were larger than expected - we choose the budget option twin room and expected a shoebox sized place, yet the room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was a very travel-able distance to the Burghley Horse Trials, which is what we came there for.

A beautiful room, comfortable and warm with a hearty breakfast. I only wish I could have stayed longer. The bathroom was beautifully appointed with a spacious shower and bath option.
