The Lounge gave us a quiet room for sure. It was in the back of the building so there was no bar noise, but the set up was huge and could have slept 8 people rather than 2 small women. Everything was very clean! The staff were very nice, including the cleanup crew, the desk manager helped us with the bus schedule for the next day, and the breakfast was great. Penrith has wonderful ruins of Richard III's castle before he became king!

First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.

Our stay at No 3 was perfect from start to finish. The room & ensuite were comfortable, modern and very clean. The breakfast was 10/10. Alison is a friendly, communicative and caring host and really went above and beyond to make our stay great. She even lent me a cardigan for the day when I said I didn't have an extra layer with me! Cannot recommend No 3 enough :)

Breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients! Dinner was worth waiting for. The cottage pie was my daughter's favorite meal on our trip.
