Very comfortable had a good night's sleep, staff were extremely helpful looking for a charger for my partners phone and when she couldn't find one she told us where we could get one. The young man on reception also helped us with places to go for a drink.

Kiltearn Guest House, hotel in Culbokie

With magnificent views over the Cromarty Firth, Kiltearn Guest House features free WiFi and free private parking.

What a joy it was to stay here! The family run home is cozy, and has a lot of character. They serve a homemade breakfast to order (the night before). Beds are very comfortable. There is a reading room, with many books and a nice leather chair/candle feel to it. Highly suggest!

Urrard B&B, hotel in Culbokie

Providing quiet street views, Urrard B&B in Dingwall offers accommodations and a garden. This bed and breakfast provides free private parking, daily room service, and free Wifi.

Absolute perfection. For anyone looking to visit Inverness, forget about fancy overpriced generic hotels, this is without a doubt the text book definition of B&B. Rooms - a wonderfully decorated rooms with a highland theme, where even the most fault-finding person would be left speechless. The attention to details rival both in practicality and decor all but the most exclusive hotels. The rooms are a subtle celebration of the Scotland with guest always being the main focus. Amenities - along with the usual features such as kettle, coffee, tea packets etc... the host provided slippers and soft robes, ear plugs, hot water bottles, neck pillows and ferm bed that provided a sleep that even the most carefree feline would envy. In addition, we were welcomed with a drum of of good quality whiskey and two home made deserts in the room. For the first time visitor in the highlands, these simple items leave you in awe, for such simple things elevate this from a overnight stay to lifetime experience. The showers are over excellent quality and pressure, with large cabinets. The room we stayed also had desk in case the need of work should arrive however, it is ones opinion that this would be a most terrible waste of such surroundings 😉. Breakfast - breakfast was a full English with all the trimmings. In addition to this the host heard of my interest in haggis and also provided this for breakfast. Location - fairly easy to find with navigation, located next to another b&b called Garry. For restaurants, only tried one but I can recommend the cottage restaurant. About 30 min walking but definitely worth it. Summary - For anyone looking to start a B&B get a note pad and a few days in here, you'll have all the information you need. I can't imagine a better place for a first stay in the highlands, that being said for those looking for a romantic getaway, this place will not all tick the boxes but create new ones for future reference.

Culbokie is situated right next to the new road, perfect for heading north. It's between Inverness and Dingwall and not far from the main road to the west. The view across the Cromarty firth is good.

Culbokie was a perfect base for us being not too far from the A9 which enabled us to drive easily to Inverness, Nairn, Chanonry Point etc. So quiet, restful & comfortable with well-equipped kitchen. Very friendly host who, though living next door, we didn't hear at all.

Very spacious and warm, welcoming and a joy to stay in.

Very spacious and warm, welcoming and a joy to stay in. Kitchen was very well equipped and clean. Bedrooms good size with en-suite toilet and sink. Pet friendly with a fenced garden for dogs. Plenty of walking areas, some will require a drive to get to. No shower in en-suite – all main washing amenities were downstairs. T.V was rather small for a large area. Garden area had a small wooded copse and was difficult to clean up after dog as it was a little unkempt. Directions to property must be improved – All 3 family members (arriving at different times, had major difficulties finding the place)

The peaceful, secluded location is ideal for unwinding.

The peaceful, secluded location is ideal for unwinding. Facilities in the village are limited to a small Spar shop and one restaurant that is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Definitely need a car to get around and to explore the area.

Lovely location, a good base for visiting the Black Isle.

Lovely location, a good base for visiting the Black Isle. The property needs to be cleaned properly thgough as the oven and pots and pans were dirty, so were the windows. There were some things in a state of disrepair. It was a shame because it could be a really nice place to stay but we were put off by the lack of cleanliness.

Culbokie is a lovely quiet village providing a gateway to the beautiful Highlands, with a charming looking pub and well stocked shop. As we visited during Covid, we were only able to sample the pub's takeout food, and it was excellent
