Rooms were designed badly for couples. The bed was definitely too small but to big for the actual room as accessing the bathroom was very awkward as the bed was so close to the bathroom door.
Bed was awful, hard uncomfortable.
Only enough towels for 1 person were provided in the room - had to request another.

Breakfast was simple and nice. The room was comfortable and the bathroom clean and bright. And given there was an U18 rug by team along my hall. I was not disturbed at all and slept comfortably. It was so nice to have a gym for an early evening and morning workout. Even a non pro felt good in there!

The location can't be beat - if you need to be in Cookham for any reason (work or pleasure) this is a lovely place to stay, located right in the middle of the village. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, making sure all my needs were met (from leaving luggage to arranging a taxi to the station). The restaurant was great with plenty of spacious outdoor seating. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and amenities - the large soap and shampoo dispensers were particularly appreciated.
Cookham Dean is a delight. Very pretty old village in a very green setting. Several pubs, including one owned by the community, very dog friendly and lots of long grass so they clearly care about the environment. Plenty of walking possible and all facilities available in Cookham.

Try the restaurant at the Mole and Badger, it may not look much at first but the food was brilliant. We wished we had, had longer to enjoy our meal! (Our commitments, no fault of the hotel)
Lots of lovely looking pubs around. A great place for walking with or without dogs.
Easy to get a taxi to neighbouring town Marlowe where there is lots to do both day and night.

Main complaint was the fact that restaurant was closed, one of the main reasons for our booking as food on menus looking interesting. Also the fact that we were not advised prior to visit that restaurant was in fact closed.

What a hidden gem! This beautiful and friendly hotel in the stunning village of Cookham Dean was a delight. The room was so nicely appointed. We loved the big, luxurious bath in the bedroom and the great shower the following morning. In the Summer, the pool must be lovely so we will probably return to enjoy it! We were having dinner at Cliveden House Hotel and staying at this beautiful place made the whole anniversary celebration even more special.
The hotel is situated in a nice area, we had booked the large double room with the large bath which was a spacious room. The lady who greeted us on arrival was very friendly, and made sure we had food and drinks which she delivered to our room (even though we had a late check-in). The food was also very nice. The room had a large TV with Netflix which we used and dressing gowns which was useful.
The hotel was definitely boutique and offered an interesting experience. It is a little difficult to get to and you definitely need a car. The staff were great and the breakfast, continental, was very good.
Friendly staff, great room. The pool was nice and warm. Hotel is interesting with the artwork relating to the owner. Lovely bar and restaurant as well. Down the road, Marlow is a stunning village also.
lovely hotel in the middle of the countryside. Given the time of year we didn’t get to use the pool, it’s small but in a really nice setting with plenty of chairs. Bar and restaurant area really nice.
Lovely comfortable room, helpful staff who had a genuine interest in their guests. Very peaceful location. Nice to have a hotel that is not bog standard.
