Perfect location in the centre of town a short distance from the water and hiking spots. Really good value, included breakfast was high quality and the staff were really nice and helpful. Beautiful views from the window. In the evening the pub is very cosy, good food, open fire and range of drinks.
I would definitely recommend staying here for a weekend break.
Featuring exposed stone walls, oak beams, and a cozy log-burning stove, this inn was built around 400 years ago and features free Wi-Fi and free parking on site.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the location - 3 pubs that do food and shops for groceries only a minute walk away and only a short walk down to the lake shore.
We particularly liked having the space of self catering but having breakfast included at the B and B owned by the same owner , Frances. The breakfast was well cooked, presented well and very hot.
Next to Coniston Water, The Coniston Inn - The Inn Collection Group has lawns running down to the lake shore and a restaurant with spectacular mountain views.

A very comfortable inn in the centre of the village. The rooms were a little small, although comfortable and nicely furnished. Food in restaurant good, as was breakfast.

Coniston is a pretty village and a great attraction is the Bluebird boat in the Ruskin Museum. However, if you want to stay near a lake, Coniston isn't the right village.
Only pub food in Coniston and they haven't heard of/no demand for salads.

Coniston is the perfect village to stay at for exploring this area of the lake district. There are some fantastic views and walks in all directions for varying levels of experience and fitness. Refreshments and accommodation are available, with at least four pubs for great food and beer, plus a petrol station, cafes and a few shops, without losing the village feel.

The cottage is homely, fairly clean, it has most things you need, a lovely view of Coniston and the lake. The location was perfect for us, plenty of walks from the cottage and lovely views on the walk back along the elevated lane.
The only downside was the junk around the back of the cottage, and to the side.

Beautiful area of the lakes.
Beautiful area of the lakes. We haven’t spent much time around Coniston before having normally visited Keswick. Coniston is a picturesque village, the lake makes for some amazing photos and the village’s is full of, and surrounded by, places to eat.

I have visit Coniston many times before, this time was to go fell walking with my Son. Booked Bluebird Lodge at quite short notice but found it very easy. I knew it was just outside of the town which allowed us to pick up walks without moving the car. We also took a trip on the Steam Gondola & went around the Ruskin Museum, both of which were excellent have been meaning to do for years. Bluebird Lodge is near the lake where there are a vast array of activities for all ages. Great food both at the Lodge & nearby pubs & cafes. Couldn't have asked for more. Superb!
Pretty much everything. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the shower was superb. Although the evening meals were bar meals there was an area of tables reserved for residents, as the bar was very busy. Menu choice was standard fare. Breakfasts were brilliant. The staff were very always friendly and keen to assist. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. We also ate out at the 2 other pubs in Coniston and the Black Bull was definitely the best.
Just had a short break - 3 days at the Coniston Inn. A very pleasant attractive hotel on the bank of Coniston Lake with lovely gardens. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Certain sensible Covid restrictions were in place. No room service, wear masks etc. And as the hotel was full there were rightly restrictions on non residents. The room was modern clean and had everything we needed for our stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
Location is just perfect, you have all amenities around the corner.
Various walks can be started from the doorstep. or you can drive to so many other little villages (20-30mins radius, Ambleside/Windermere/Grasmere/Keswick to name a few) and the options are endless
Walking distance to Coniston Lake
Facilities inside the flat are great. All other reviews you will read will mention the showerhead being great and it is true.
The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the location - 3 pubs that do food and shops for groceries only a minute walk away and only a short walk down to the lake shore.

The place was immaculately clean. Facilities are faultless and it has a very contemporary look. Angela was very helpful and lovely. 12 minute walk to Coniston pier where you can rent the boats- amazing view and with a lovely cafe too. Great base. We could easily drive to Grasmere and Ambleside and was able to maximise our short break to Lake District.
A fabulous hotel in an utterly stunning location. I'm reluctant to write this review if only because I don't want it to be booked up next time I go!! Lovely staff, delicious food (probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had) and beautiful gardens with tremendous views over Coniston Water. It's not "if" we'll be back, but "when".
Great hospitality - very welcoming with delicious cakes and cozy comfortable lounge. Great to meet and chat with other guests. Bed was very comfortable and fabulous views from the window. Super quiet. Quite close to Coniston where we had booked the superb Steam Yacht Gondola ride. Parking on site. Very tasty breakfast.
In the middle of Coniston in the heart of the Lake District with walks through the old copper mines up to the iconic Old Man mountain. Tasty Coniston ale brewed on the premises compliments the great pub food in a large but homely bar area with charming staff. Outside seating to 2 sides is great when the sun shines.
Lakeland House is in the centre of Coniston and right on the doorsteps of pubs, restaurants and all the local facilities and only a short walk from the lake. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable with great views of the fells. Great breakfast aswell
Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Staff were very accommodating, always friendly and able to help.
The location was perfect for exploring Coniston and the surrounding area.
Although it was a busy time in the area we were always able to eat in the hotel restaurant.
The room was one of the best ive ever stayed in. The decor was perfect and very tastefully done. Ive never stayed in a hotel that was absolutely spotless like this one. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Coniston to book a room here.
Perfect location, with private access to the lake, relaxed atmosphere, great breakfasts, fresh milk available for tea/coffee in our room, friendly, helpful staff, beautiful garden.
Excellent location, very scenic and central to Coniston. Accommodation very homely and comfortable. The welcome pack of goodies was a lovely touch. Information book well organised.
Located just outside the village of Coniston but happily just opposite a hotel serving good food for supper.
Cheerful, friendly owners. A good choice for a delicious breakfast.
