Restaurant really nice design and the food was very good. Very accommodating staff, great location, easy parking, nice atmosphere. Nice shower gel product. Very good housekeeping. Lovely grounds and easy access to walking through the castle grounds.

This place is right next to the Stornoway ferry port which was very convenient for us as we had an early morning ferry. The owner was very kind and gave us some great recommendations for the local restaurants. Our room was clean and spacious. The seaview from the window was a huge plus.

But the crofters (returning from fighting World War One) set greater store by their independence and traditional small land-holdings, and broke the law to win their case. The memorial to this struggle was a short walk from the rental property.
