We needed to check-in as early as possible so we could attend a wedding. I'd emailed beforehand and the staff had gone out of their way to turn around our room so we could have access when we arrived. It was a large, well appointed room with an ensuite incorporating both a jacuzzi bath and an excellent powerful shower. It was clean and tidy, if a little care-worn, but the bed was exceptionally comfortable, with high thread count bedding and fluffy towels and they get my vote because a teapot was provided. ☺️

James the GM went out of his way to help us get to a wedding in time. Our taxi didn’t arrive so James did not hesitate to take us there which was so decent of him. We arrived 1 minute before the bride walked down the aisle!!

The building and location as my Mum worked there and I went to school across the road. I love how the old workings of the mill have been kept and the use of the whole area.

All the staff were very friendly, room was spacious with everything you need and I was especially happy that the heating was still on when so many other hotels already turned it off. :) There was also a great coffee shop nearby!

Everything. The food (beef brisket epecially) was exceptional
The best part would have to be the view! I love a good view and the pictures on the website don’t do it’s justice, when you get there and you see it for yourself it really does blow you away (if you have an eye for views like me anyway!)

Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield.
For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep.
For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

I was very frustrated prior to the visit I have been seriously ill and needed to talk someone re the rooms booked as currently have limited mobility I was unable to do this other than that everything was spot on
We loved everything about our stay. Only one night, but we will be staying again. A lovely find near chipping. A beautiful hotel with stunning surroundings. We had a suite which was on two floors. I actually thought we'd been given the wrong room as it was very grand. The staff were lovely. Friendly and funny . They made us feel very welcome. A nice little touch was seeing our names on the breakfast table dressed as if it was a wedding breakfast.
It was just the best night away in an amazing hotel. I would highly recommend it .
It's a beautiful building in a beautiful setting. The staff are welcoming and friendly and though its little out of the nearest town its only a short journey to Clitheroe. The breakfast was lovely, a buffet which included cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurt, full cooked, and other bits and pieces. Everywhere was clean, the bedroom and en suite plus the communal areas and dining room. The price was fantastic, definite value for money. There's very little to add! I would definitely book here again
Before arrival the host sent us over all the information we needed for checkin along with some parking tips which was very helpful on arrival to the town. The cottage was stunning and had a lovely home away from home feel with kitchen facilities (fresh bread, milk and eggs available for us). The location of the property was perfect for us, lots of local shops nearby as well as great parking facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future.
The people who have only recently taken over running the hotel were EXTREMELY friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had the "best room in the house" and it was delightful, having obviously been recently refurbished. The En-Suite was enourmous, clean and the shower was superb. Views out over the valley were brilliant and we were lucky to have stunning weather too. Breakfast was excellent.
Great location, a quiet residential road very close to the centre of Clitheroe, with easy parking. The house is larger than it looks and was comfortable and cosy with everything we needed. We were in Clitheroe for a wedding and the house was an ideal base. The host, Olivia, was prompt in her responses, particularly when there was a minor issue with the heating and we were able to quickly resolve it.
The accommodation was fantastic and really spacious. The location is perfect for getting away from it all but still close enough to town for meals out etc. The views are wonderful, albeit we didn't have great weather,, but still enjoyable sat snuggled up in front of the fire. Had every facility we needed for our short break.
The location and building are stunning, Reception staff very friendly, lovely sitting area by a grand fireplace. The room was sound enough but had a funny smell. I don't know if this was a room that allows pets as the hotel does advertise dog friendly.
The hotel is in the ideal place to enjoy Clitheroe plus explore the Trough of Bowland. Rooms were clean and tidy with all the required facilities. Parking could have been a problem but we managed get a space when we arrived.
Very well situated hotel for a short walk into the town centre. Evening meal was very good in the hotel. Breakfast at Maxwell's across the road was excellent.
Staff were lovely in the hotel, excellent service.
The hotel staff were very accommodating and let us check in early. The room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice and plenty of tea/coffee.
Hotel was fair in general, nothing exceptional or worthy or any extra stars. The staff were accommodating and it was in the centre of the high street. I liked the space in the room.
It was amazing, very comfortable especially on a winters day with rain & storms, perfect location for Clitheroe but very peaceful location.Home from home would definitely recommend.
It was a fantastic venue, great staff and fab food. It was just a shame you have to pay for the nearest car park and it was full!! Particularly when we were going to a wedding .
The hotel was immaculate. Nice and easy walk from the train station. Room very well presented. Great food in the bar for both evening meal and then breakfast in the morning.
The views from the beer garden.
Rooms spacious & well equipped.
Clean, airy & very comfortable bed.
Great night sleep.
Full Lancashire brekkie was lovely ☺️
