The staff were just off the scale friendly and welcoming. Experiences like this are why independents can be so great. Handwritten welcome note and cake in the room! Excellent food too, a lovely venue, good car parking, and a ridiculously good value price. Wish it had been more than a flying visit on business

Our sea view room lived up to its label: the views over the town and coast were stunning. The hotel is old and characterful with wonky floors, beams and low ceilings: we like that. Short walk downhill to the harbour and free car parking. Good value for the price.

Excellent location; professional staff; entire hotel neat & clean.
We were walking the SW Coast Path, so we were quite tired and sore. The spa tub (w/ plenty of hot water) was fantastic.

Good position in Lyme Regis. Very hilly so got our hearts pumping. Positive kitchen facilities. Nice not to be restricted to certain breakfast times. Facilities were clean and sufficient for our two night stay.
House and host were lovely. I could easily of stayed there forever. Charming beautiful house with heaps of character. My father had already planned his move!
It was lovely sitting in the garden and relaxing, easily suited 4 adults. All rooms were exceptional.
We all enjoyed a peaceful stay and ate in the village which was great. Situated for easy access to surrounding places.
Look forward to returning as soon as it’s available.

The people in Chideock were really friendly. We ate at the Clock on Saturday but everything closes at 6.00 on Sunday which meant we didn’t have time for a dinner that night. Our host had warned us of this before hand

Very conveniently located for the coast path, inland countryside, and local towns. Good Spar and pub, with other good pubs in nearby villages. A35 running through the centre of the village is very busy, but does mean there is a good bus service to Lyme and Bridport, and beyond.
