Beautiful spot, nice hotel and restaurant. Dinner was especially good. Gave us a gift in our room, which was kind. If was the best shower we had in 3 weeks of hotels.

Our visit was to catch up with relatives and revisit places from our childhoods and to visit the church where family are buried. Chiddingfold is a good starting point for us. We ate in The Crown, the food was very good.
Low expectation taking last room " a small double" available at short notice however the room was far better than expected and also remarkably quiet despite over looking the main road
The bar area is large and as nice as any country pubs and hotels but very rarely did we see anybody use it, missing a trick here because the two closest restaurant rivals are only fair to average
Chiddingfold is a lovely village
We loved the fact that the hotel is so old, dating back to the 15th century or even earlier in some parts. It has real character. The bar area by the inglenook fireplace was perfect for relaxing with a drink after a long drive. The quality of the food in the evening and at breakfast was superb: very well served and beautifully presented.
Nicely restored, centuries old building, but with all the expected idiosyncrasies….sloping floors, low doorways and ceilings, narrow stairs, no lift. The restaurant was excellent, food delicious, varied menu. Breakfast options were good. The location in the village of Chiddingfold was perfect for us.
It’s a fantastic little hideaway, it was clean, comfortable, tucked away enough that you feel like you’re in your own little world, but with nice places to go and eat not far away at all, little touches make it less of a hotel vibe and more like a home away from home…I love it!
It is possibly unfair to judge or review this hotel due to the unfortunate staff shortages which caused their bar and restaurant facilities to be closed during our stay. The remaining very few staff did their best to provide a more than adequate continental breakfast however
we loved the historical value of this beautiful old inn and pub. The bed was comfortable. The staff was nice and informative. the owner Hannah gave us a lot of history. Our room had a beautiful 4 poster bed and a separate sitting room. the pub is amazing too!
The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The addition of a table fan was a nice touch for added comfort during the summer. The inn had also prepared the baby cot before our arrival, which not many hotels do. The breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Beautiful hotel and staff are so lovely, Martin is dedicated to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Food is delicious and we would definitely recommend staying in this amazing place. My elderly dog loved his stay too.
A cosy pub/restaurant/hotel, serving lovely food. It’s a great place to stay if you’re traveling with a dog. The staff were all friendly and helpful. For a village pub/restaurant it does get busy, which is nice.
The room was very comfortable. The two women on duty were excellent. They coped incredibly well even though there were many more clients than was envisaged and the restaurant/hotel was understaffed.
Hotel was very good and extremely clean. We booked a table for dinner and weren’t disappointed fabulous flavours a credit to the chef and the rest of the staff.
