Great breakfast, nice little pub. The breakfast staff guy was great. The village is small and pretty. It's an easy shot to the M6 if you are traveling through.

Fantastic traditional inn. Comfortable. Personable. Kind staff. Incredible breakfast; best we had during our 2 weeks in Europe. Dinner was also terrific. Will come again!
A traditional family-owned pub in Greystoke, The Boot and Shoe is only a 10-minute drive from the M6 motorway. The Lake District National Park is around 30 minutes’ drive away.

Very good staff. However, been above a pub the room was quite noisy (which wasn't a huge issues and to be expected) but sometime after closing.
Room was very small and the cleanliness wasn't the best - which probably explained the invasion of flies.

I wanted to stop in a unique property with plenty of charm and this place certainly fit the bill. We loved the decor and I took my time to look at all the pictures, treasures and curiosities. The bedroom was spacious, the bed extremely comfy and the host very accommodating. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Beautiful accomodation, bedroom good size and comfy bed , lovely seperate area to sit , watch tv and chill with the fridge stocked with excellent selection of food for continental breakfast plus a bottle of wine.
Best selection ever for breakfast, a plate of lovely cheeses, olives, sliced meats and different breads. Cereal, yoghurts, fresh orange juice and teas / coffe machine.
Dave our host was super too, warm and welcoming everything perfect.
