Delightful! The house has an energy of it`s own, vibrant and purposeful to make you enjoy the stay, feel thrown back in 1960. All the rooms are wonderfully furnished (library, living room, dining room, the bar, etc). The hosts are friendly and very helpful. If you want to have an experience, we recommend staying here: everything is made for comfort. Our room was spacious, there were mirrors everywhere, the vines are hovering over the windows very so discreetly, the bathroom (with a vintage tub) was perfectly sized for a nice bath time!
The Celtic Royal Hotel features a leisure club and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is located in Caernarfon center, just a 10-minute walk from Caernarfon Harbor.

Loved the location (close to castle and WHR) and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the muggy weather during our stay made it little difficult to sleep. Would definitely recommend to others.

The castle was amazing, we could have spent longer there but wanted to fit in other sightseeing.
We were self-catering but there were lots of places to eat which seemed very attractive.
The town is not too large to get about on foot but I suspect most people would prefer the area around the castle and quays.

Castle interesting and views across to Anglesey beautiful at sunset. Walled town attractive though some of the outer parts a bit run down. Seems a lively place with a buzzing Friday evening social scene. Eating places mostly offering pub grub rather than local produce.(Ok if you like chips)

The cobbled streets bekan horses, the Castle stands strong, proud and has witnessed passing of time.
The Marina changes as many times as the moon rising and the sun setting, mirroring the life of the Castle.
Musicians bloom like flowers. Laughter and cheer brings people together here.

Finding somewhere good to eat was difficult, everything thing was closed, it was like a ghost town. Weatherspoons food was horrendous as was the Black Boy Inn, cheap food for an expensive price, wouldnt venture there in a hurry.

Most of the city is around the castle and is very quiet at night. However, in addition to receiving poor service from the property we stayed at, I also found that it was difficult to book restaurants in advance with several websites not working or containing the wrong information, having to make several phone calls to make a booking and bookings made via web sites were not responded to.
Caernarfon and its castle are beautiful, but their use of technology me think that they are still living in the dark ages.
The pod was very clean and obviously very new. Very well equipped with cooker, microwave, tv, plenty of seating, pots and pans, croquery and cutlery. Plenty of hot water and heating was very good. There was a view of the mountains from the lounge/kitchen area.
I liked the peaceful rural location, though as it was the end of October it would be different in the main season. I would definitely stay again. I liked this style of holiday as usually I have stopped in B&B, hotel accomodation
The location was the best we could ask for: in Castle Square, few meters from the Caernarfon castle, the old city centre and the sea. The staff has been kind and helpful all the time. The small room spaces were nicely organized and decorated giving a homely feeling that we appreciated. We were generally satisfied with the cleanliness of both the room and the ensuite bathroom, even though the room felt a bit dusty. The stay in this hotel was anyway really worthy the (not too high) price.
I could not find a fault with the Black Boy inn.
The staff were very friendly.
We were welcomed and all questions answered.
The room was lovely
The breakfast was exceptional
The menu for evening meals Wes superb
The bar had a good selection of beers, wines and spirits.
The location was ideal for everything in Caernarfon and was central to the North Wales coast and Snowdonia national park.
If I came to this area again, I would like to stay here again.
Very centrally located within easy walking distance to the castle. A lot of places to eat within walking distance also. The girls on reception were excellent, very friendly and helpful. They even provided us with a permit to park free of charge over night as parking can be a challenge. We ate on property the 2nd night and it was very good. The pub lounges are very cosy and quaint and breakfast in the mornings were very good too.
Location is excellent for touring around North Wales and a 15 minute walk into Caernarfon and great views over the Menai straits. Accommodation was clean and very well equiped, everything you needed was available. The owners had left a very nice welcome pack which included a bottle of wine, chocolates, butter, bread, milk, biscuits, cake and even some flowers on the dining table.
A lovely little bolthole to relax in after a day exploring North Wales. Chris was lovely and made sure we had everything we could need. The bara brith was a nice extra touch. Clean bathroom with a good shower. Very convenient location close to the centre of Caernarfon with parking!
Good location for visiting North Wales towns, beaches and historical sites including Caernarfon, Criccieth, Conwy. Lovely views of the coast and Menai straits from the cottages. Nice touches at the cottages such as laundry facilities and bbqs. Friendly and helpful hosts.
Hotel looks very nice, staff were friendy and helpful. Location is excellent--5 minute walk to the castle. Breakfast was a buffet style continental and suited our grab-and-go plans for the day. Bar was open late on a Sunday, which was a happy surprise.
Convenient to Caernarfon.
All necessary facilities for cooking were provided.
The host provided thoughtful bread, milk and butter.
A washing machine was provided! (But no way to dry the clothes).
Everything was neat and clean.
Had a great stay in this lovely hotel, rooms are clean, bed is comfy and the breakfast is one of the best. Location is right in the centre of caernarfon, ideally suited for the whole of north wales.
The proprietor was very helpful and accommodating when a booking error meant only one of our two rooms was available. The location was extremely convenient to the castle and the old town.
The location was perfect for our visit, inside the castle walls.
The hosts were really accommodating, especially with breakfast provisions as I have dietary requirements.
The hotel is located near to the town centre and close to the castle, easy to park at the hotel. The staff was great, very professional, kind and helpful.
Room and facilities at the hotel were excellent as was the location within the Town Centre. Availability of free car parking also a bonus. Friendly Host
