Our host Anna was wonderful. She was very welcoming and warm and so helpful. She assisted us with booking reservations and made so many good suggestions and recommendations for places to go and things to see. All of her help made our trip so much better with her extensive knowledge of the area and all of her connections to the local businesses and people.
The accommodations were excellent and even better than we expected. Our room was so comfortable and perfect for our stay. The cottage is beautiful and has so much character with interesting things to look at. The gardens were spectacular and the patio out back was perfect for relaxing in the evening.
Our other four hosts, Anna's wonderful dogs added a special and memorable element to our stay. They were fun to get to know and they were always such a warm greeting party when we returned from being out for the day.
Our breakfast every morning in the charming dining room was excellent also. Anna makes perfect fried eggs!

We stayed at the Three Horseshoes over New Year. It is in a perfect location away from the crowds of Burford, set in beautiful countryside. The pub and rooms had just been refurbished. The rooms were really cozy and the food was excellent. We visited lots of pubs in the area and this was definitely the best. The owner and her stuff were wonderful, welcoming and helpful, we would definitely love to come back.

Burford is a medium sized Cotswolds town - pretty, lots of places to eat and drink, local independent shops and a good place as a base to explore the wider Cotswolds area.
Burford Golf Club is very close, as is the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Both recommended.

Burford is a great place to visit.
Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Beautiful place to visit, walk around, shop, eat and drink and enjoy the incredible architecture
Take your camera. There's lots to photograph.
Fantastic Garden Centre just outside is also worth a visit with lots of stores of other items and clothing. The restaurant is excellent.
Cotswold Gateway has a great deal of character as a historical Coaching Inn, with an intriguing layout! The breakfast menu choice was excellent, served in a comfortable, bright dining room, by friendly staff. The decor and rooms on the first floor are remarkably tasteful. There is plenty of space in the car park and the picturesque Cotswold Village of Burford is within easy walking distance for interesting shops and a choice of restaurants.
I have always wanted to stay at the Lambs Inn in Burford, as we have been to the Cotswolds in the past. I remember walking by the hotel and peaking in the window and seeing a lovely room, thinking to myself . . . “oh how lovely!” Reality wasn’t disappointing! 🥰. I love the beautiful, charming, mix of old world European structure with modern day comforts. The mixture was bucolic and inviting. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Loved the restaurant and service we had in there. Food was amazing and the service from the young short chap with dark hair (not sure of his name) he was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful
Also, the location is great for Burford centre, only a 2 minute walk to the shops. It was easy to park on the street outside the hotel too.
having tried over the past 4 to 5 years to book we finally made it unfortunately they only had one night available. on entering the angle at burford we where greeted from a member of there staff with a very welcoming hello we new we had booked a very professional establishment.
Little! It’s possible that I’d mistaken this property for a hotel, while in reality, it was a B&B.
It was near Burford so a plus point as a base.
I felt the staff, the 2 people I saw and most likely management or owners, did try hard but operating in reduced circumstances.
A lovely small intimate hotel, very near Burford high street. The staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was lovely. Also, the Angel has a really good atmosphere, log fire and lovely candles placed around. Very homely. Will definitely go there again.
Nice courtyard but lacking in internal space if weather inclement, especially bearing in mind the requirement to socially distance. Convenient to visit other villages/towns and lots on offer in Burford for restaurants and pubs. The sister hotel had a very nice garden.
Lovely, clean, comfortable. Pretty hotel with nice views. Very helpful staff. The coffee in the breakfast room wasn't that good, but not that big a deal. We'd definitely recommend it. Had a lot of the charm of an old hotel but the niceness of a new one.
Lovely looking hotel in the glorious village of Burford. Friendly welcome, bag carried to room which was nice. Excellent breakfast with good service. When I pointed out the flies all over the fruit at breakfast it was immediately changed and covered.
The hotel was lovely. Very welcoming and cosy . Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was lovely too. Great location to some picturesque villages. Just a five minute walk in to Burford High street. Hopefully will return soon .
Absolutely lovely Inn in a perfect location by a river and close to beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. The staff were brilliant and the food was second to none. The place was spotlessly clean and very well managed.
Very cozy and clean cottage, excellent location, there is nothing not to like about the Burford House. Lots of Extras, Christmas tree and indoor and outdoor Christmas lights were up during our stay.
The location was very good and the staff friendly particularly at breakfast. Good choice of food for breakfast . Several hand sanitisers around the hotel and tables in the restaurant are well spaced
We stayed in the small house which is attached to the hotel and it was great and well equipped. The location is in a good place on the high street. The hotel was quiet and cozy.
