The staff -especially the receptionist and waiter- were delightful. The restaurant food was delicious. The building and its setting are lovely. Our room had a bath as well as a shower - that’s sadly becoming a rarity these days.

Hotel was conveniently close to the A63, in a quiet village, staff were friendly and were ok that I arrived 11pm, breakfast was good and was served pretty quickly, my room was nice. It took me 30 mins in the morning to get to Malmo road in Hull where I was going for work, though that was in school half term.

Lovely staff. Helpful, friendly but not intrusive. Room was very big with fantastic shower- especially welcome after a long, hot bike ride! Best of all our bikes were accommodated safely inside as soon as we arrived, with no tooth sucking or frowning! Breakfast was good. Great to have a varied fresh fruit salad available (obviously might be more difficult in winter!) and the poached eggs were perfect.

There is quite simply nothing to not like..Warm welcome,simple instructions,lovely spotless room, fantastic shower, comfy bed topped off with a superb fresh cooked breakfast..
Good location for the wedding we attended. Room was great and the bed was super comfortable everything was really clean. Owners were super accommodating to us as we had to check in early to get ready for a wedding we were attending.

Our stay was in Brantingham, not Brough.
Our stay was in Brantingham, not Brough. My excellent rating was based on Brantingham not Brough which is far prettier and more traditional. The staff at the local pub, within easy walking distance, of the cottage were very accommodating in offering us something to eat despite us arriving after normal restaurant opening hours on our first night.

Welton is a lovely little picturesque village.
Welton is a lovely little picturesque village. Gorgeous food in the local pub/restaurant.. The Green Dragon. So many great walks nearby. And if you get the chance have a drink in the Welton Memorial Club where you'll find friendly local people and a nice atmosphere.
