Good welcome. Room ok but WiFi unavailable. Also switches for side lamps not easily operated - we couldn't find them! Food good and interesting. Decided £15 a head was too much for breakfast so went elsewhere.

Clean room, friendly staff, very good breakfast, couldn’t ask for more for the price paid. We were visiting family so location was good for us. Dog friendly.

Beautiful pub, steeped in history, in a lovely village with lots to do.
On entering your welcomed with a great smile from a member of staff who I soon found out to be the landlady and, what an asset to the pub industry she is. She is knowledgeable about the area, makes great food, has excellent array of real ales which were absolutely wonderful, one hell of an amazing music list which on my next visit I am going to steal a copy. After meeting the locals , it just enhance the already amazing atmosphere, I’m still chuckling over some of the stories.
The Food.
Plenty of home cooked food which smelt amazing, I didn’t get to try it as the website said the pub was closed on Tuesday so I ate out, however when I arrived I was told they are open everyday ( change website lovely landlady).
The room.
My room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed and some real furniture, rather than a clothes racks you get in some of the modern hotels. There is also a flatscreen tv, table and chairs and a view to the street which was very nice.
Bathroom.
Now normally I am very funny with sharing a bathroom but here there is only 1 other room so it actually felt like my bathroom which was spotless with a large shower plenty of toiletries and very nice towels.
I travel pretty much all the time and I’ve got to say the Jolly Sailor,is the landlady, a true asset to this pub, and the industry, look after her.
