The hotel is right in the town centre. Very clean, comfortable and inviting. They went the extra mile with providing us with everything we needed for our stay! The guy at check in was very kind too. This is definitely somewhere we will stay again.

Quaint, cozy, delicious food, historic, wonderful staff. This hotel was 100 %
Lovely place and the canal at back of pub. Another pub over the can at back of pub that I would try as well next visit. There is lovely walk over on the other side of the canal. Plus very dog friendly.

Bolton le sands is a quiet village, with a lovely beach for dog walking and stunning walks along the canal.
It is the Door way to the lakes so not far to access any of the Lake District attractions and beauty.

Stumbled across The Royal 2 yrs ago by accident as we suddenly had to take our dog with us and the hotel we had already booked didn't allow pets. So glad we did, 2nd time there and we will be back. Restaurant is always busy, which says it all! Even at breakfast with non-residents...
Nice pub/hotel for a stopover night on our trip back to Scotland, I mainly booked for location but was pleasantly surprised on the pub and restaurant which were both excellent. Parking was easy across the road and all round I think we’ve found a new venue for our trips down south.
The food was exceptional both in the evening restaurant and breakfast. All staff were very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean. Great parking right outside the hotel. I appreciated the fan provided in the room as it was a very warm night.
Absolutely amazing hotel, amazing staff and lovely location for a walk. Only downside was the pillows as they were VERY soft, but the bed and everything else was perfect.
Thank you so much for having us and our dog!
The hotel is very dog friendly. Great area to sit out in.
Food is very good.
Plenty of parking just across the road.
Ideal place to stay if getting the Ferry from Heysham. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
The staff were friendly and the food was very nice. It was in an ideal location for visiting surrounding areas. We had 1 dog so the quick access to the canal from the hotel and walk to the beach were ideal.
The breakfast and evening meal was very good. The outside area and facilities were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free car park across the road from the hotel. Very dog friendly.
