Loved the history, the location behind the old railway, and the little park in front. Also, the bathrooms were updated, and there were plenty of USB outlets.

Contrary to other reviews which I'm sure were posted on the wrong Boathouse, the Boat House Guesthouse, remember Guesthouse, would definitely get my return business. Harry was a delightful host and his breakfast made to order, could not be surpassed. Friendly, clean and helpful.

Everything was great. Got a good standard room for a low price (£70) in a perfect location with many hikes within 10-15 minutes drive.

I can't recommend the Delrachney Lodge enough. Our room was lovely, our hosts were charming and caring, and the breakfast was amazing. On to of that, they were so concerned about us that one night when getting dinner out would be difficult they made special arrangements for us and gave us a delicious dinner at the Lodge, where they normally do not serve dinner. We will be back without question. Thanks Steve and Tracy for a great experience.

Boat of Garten is a great base from which to explore. Grantown-on-Spey is only a few minutes away witha good selection of shops and you are surrounded by beautiful countryside which is easily accessible.

Boat of Garten is a great little village with all the necessaries. The post office/village shop has some excellent fare on offer. Anderson's restaurant and the Boat Hotel are well worth a visit. The EV chargers at the village hall are very convenient and the village is surrounded by a variety of well maintained and signed forest paths to suit all abilities.

Boat of Garten is a nice small village with a few places to go and eat. We went to Boat Country Inn and had a lovely meal. It is also central for places to visit and country walks. Love the train station - old style and well kept

We loved the caravan it was very comfortable and plenty of room, had everything you could need included in it. Very relaxing super holiday park very well looked after and clean, very quiet, great place to chill out.

If you like being outdoors it is perfect.
If you like being outdoors it is perfect. Loch Garten is the perfect tonic for anyone tired of city life, it was so beautiful and peaceful there.
Of course Aviemore is close if you want skiing in season and perhaps some night life.
Grantown on Spey was lovely and more forest nearby in Anagach Woods.
Lots of Neolithic sites near Grantown too.
Nethy Bridge was lovely, surrounded by forest.

Beautiful location and only a short drive to Aviemore. We took the train to Inverness for the day and had a beautiful meal in a restaurant there. Easy to get to the shops and supermarkets in Aviemore itself.
My room was comfortable, clean and well equipped with tea/coffee/hot chocolate.. biscuits etc. Lovely large ensuite with great shower and loads of warm water. Lovely quiet setting in peaceful village. Great for the nearby loch and rspb centre. Loads of well marked walks. Has a fantastic little Italian restaurant less than 2 mins walk. And 5 mina from the Strathspey Steam Railway station.
Spacious and immaculate chalet with a great view across the hills. Petina provided above and beyond what would be expected of a self catering accommodation, lots of extras and lovely homely touches throughout for a comfortable and hassle free stay. Beautiful location with so much to do nearby. Cannot wait to return again. Thanks for a great stay
Property was very clean and cosy! Really nice inside! It’s very local to everything. Not too far of a drive into Aviemore! Lovely hotel just down the road walking distance. Went there for food and drinks was really nice and bike hire right next to it too. Lovely scenery round about. Fantastic stay will definitely be back! ❤️
Location was Bliss , peaceful ,with a wonderful Andersons restaurant nearby as well as a lovely hotel called the Boat County Inn, on the main street, Beautiful part of Scotland, Accommodation was well maintained, and exceeded our expectations ,

The room was very good, apart from a very musty smell which we put down to the hotel having been closed for so long as a result of Covid. It was large, well decorated with all the facilities we would expect for the price paid. The staff were very friendly, and helpful.
Lovely stay in Boat of Garten. Easy drive to the property, and quick walk to the closest restaurant! The room was well equipped, quiet and clean, the bed was cozy and some home bakes were waiting for us on arrival. Great breakfast and lovely hosts.

absolutely wonderful stay, the staff was beyond helpful and welcoming. they let us store our bikes in their secure storage room and always welcomed us with warm smiles. food at the restaurant was great and the atmosphere of the hotel was lovely.
It was amazing ! The chalet was gorgeous, extremely clean, tidy and modern. We were left a lovely welcome pack. The hosts were easy to contact when we required assistance getting the keys. I would 100% recommend this property to anyone !
Perfect hotel within an ideal location. Only a 10 minute drive from Aviemore and about 20 minutes to all main tourist destinations such as Loch Morlich etc. Staff were all friendly and breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again!
The location was great your are not far from Aviemore -Granton on spey & Inverness they are plenty shops in Aviemore & the steam train ride from Aviemore to Broomhill & Back is worth the money would recommend it to friends and family
