Good clean hotel, convenient for those with a car, at an excellent price.
It's out of town but right off main road, a 20 min walk to Dalmuir station and a £22 taxi back on Sat night from middle of Glasgow if not driving. Small but well equipped business-hotel style room. All in, very good.

The surrounding nature is beautiful but it is definitely more of a campground/hostel vibe.

I loved overlooking the High Street with it's cute shops. Entry was easy as was the parking. The host explained everything so well, that it was easy to park and get to the apartment.

Calming and scenic, transport needed to amenities. Lots of pleasant walks and stunning scenery. Central location to many attractions, the Devils pulpit is stunning and a must see, approximately 2 miles from Blanefield. I would recommend going early, much quieter and more tranquil.

Liked that I could sit in the lounge area with a cuppa as I was camping. So cosy, felt right at home. My camping stove broke so they let me fill my flask with hot water so I could have a cuppa in my tent. Booked for two nights but stayed four nights, and I could put my tent anywhere so I chose a secluded spot in the woodland, was bliss even with the rain.

The hotel looked lovely being small and full of character.
The hotel looked lovely being small and full of character. Nice retreat and the staff are so helpful. The area is lovely and peaceful. This is no campsite though and tents added to create extra revenue. In conclusion is it a hotel or campsite!!! As one effects the other. Beautiful setting in a beautiful area.

Beautiful location, lovely house and very comfortable family room. Extremely dog friendly (owners dogs were frequently present and very friendly too).
Dinner adequate but expensive for what it was and breakfast was fine but no cereals on offer; fruit, pastries and yoghurts available though.
Didn’t expect to pay for hot drinks which would normally be provided in the room. We felt this was disappointing and surely could have been included in the price. Take a flask of tea with you!
