Location was superb and staff was friendly. Breakfest was good and there was lots of options available. The swimming pool was quite tiny and shallow, but very nice place to just hang out. Sauna was not sauna, but steam room, which was also okay.

Most of all the location. Very convenient for train travel. Staff was amazing in every aspect of my stay, sorry it wasn’t longer. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful grounds and rooms, great location. And the breakfast was amazing. This is not your bare minimum breakfast buffet. The buffet items were delicious and fresh, and the made to order hot breakfast was all we could hope for. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We loved our stay at the Pine Trees Hotel.

Great base for visiting attractions in the Highlands, quite a lot of place's to visit in the area.
Great area if you area a walker.
Train station just at sidecof the hotel, so not far to walk. Be aware that there are not a lot of places to eat in the area.

We had breakfast at the Old Water Mill, a must! Excellent breakfast and the bread is to die for.
The Atholl Arms was good, service a little slow, but we were in no rush.

A beautiful building with very comfortable bedrooms. Lots of seating options with log fires and squashy sofas. The Bothy Bar caters for all you needs from a snack to a sumptuous meal. The food is outstanding.
It's a beautiful area with lovely walks and the sun has always been shining on my visits, even when it was near freezing.

The bedroom was not as displayed on the booking .com and their own site, and the bed was very uncomfortable as you could feel the springs through the mattress. The bathroom was updated and looks lovely the bedroom was large but in need of up grading the tv was old and small the remote did not work as it was not the remote for the tv so you had change tv station/sound manually. At breakfast the link sausage was hard to cut and the potatoe scone was not cooked.
The evening meal in the Bothy bar was great and the staff were attentive.

This hotel is not a five star hotel and there was no evidence of deep cleaning or indeed any professional cleaning. It is understaffed and there is certainly not the ratio of staff to clients that is required by a 5 star rating. We purchased an expensive bottle of white wine (£65) which was served warm and we had to give instructions about chilling it to the right temperature. This hotel is not only not worthy of its price point but is not professionally managed or overseen. We left a day early because our stay was so compromised by the lack of facilities and the cleanliness issues which we felt presented a real risk to health.
Beautiful property with very friendly staff. We stayed in one of the smaller stable rooms, and while it was a bit cramped with all our bags, the bed was very comfortable. The reception spaces in the main house were lovely and the grounds were really beautiful. We enjoyed the experience of meeting other guests in the reception room for drinks before the delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff were so welcoming. It was a luxurious experience! We only stayed one night, but I would love to come back and stay for several.
A really comfortable, well-equipped cottage. The location was close to the amenities. We loved the cottage, being near the train station and hearing the running trains made our holiday and hearing the birds singing. The people in Blair Atholl are lovely, very approachable and easy to speak to. My parents loved everything about their holiday and have been telling their friends and family of their lovely time away. We are hoping that we may have another opportunity in the future to return to the Old Mill Cottage.
Large semi detached house, very clean and comfortable. Log burner in sitting room and open fire in large dining room.
Courtyard to sit out and a front garden.
Very friendly golf club with a Restaurant and area for drinks outside; minutes walk from the house. Shop and hotel near by.
Blair Atholl is situated in a very nice quiet country area, very peaceful to walk around.
We had a short break, didn't have time to get to the Mill for coffee and a scone.
Coffee Shop at Rannoch Station is a must visit.
The lobby and dining area were quite grand however the bedrooms were so tired and in need of updating. Carpet in the bathroom, old fashioned furniture and fittings. It was clean enough but the old carpets and bathrooms made it feel grubby and unclean. Pleasant staff, good breakfast and good pub attached to the hotel serving decent food.
They allow dogs which is why I stayed.
Easy parking.
I wouldn't stay again because of the poor standard of the room. It was overpriced for what we had.
Beautiful location by the river, many lovely walks around. The owners left us some very welcoming surprises and kept in touch. A warm, clean, extremely comfortable and very nicely furnished lodge.
Excellent food served in both the golf club and on site restaurants by very friendly staff. Nice coffee served by a toasty open fire in local hotel.
Spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Easy car parking on the drive. Ducks in the garden. We enjoyed the spooky trains passing. 12 minute drive to Pitlochry. A few minutes walk into Blair Castle. Highly recommended. We never return to the same place but it’s so good that we are talking about booking it again.
Amazing area, loved the character of the hotel but felt the corridors needed revamping a bit as they seemed a bit outdated and gloomy. Loved our room although the tv signal was awful so had to watch stuff on our phones most of the time. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were so nice and friendly.
Breakfast was good- cereal options might have been better. Could offer more granola, overnight oats etc- all fairly standard options.
This is a minor point- the hotel, food, staff and atmosphere were all of a very high standard. The garden and grounds were also excellent!
Ptarmigan is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The room was so spacious and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and they serve up a wonderful breakfast. Blair Atholl village is lovely with a few places for food and drink. Can not fault this place. Go!
A great location within Blair Atholl. The chalet was exceptionally clean. It was bright and the outside balcony was an added bonus. The owners were on hand to answer any questions we had during our stay and had a lovely welcome gift for us.
