The hotel staff and services have improved vastly since a visit a few years ago. The current staff is very helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was prompt, very good, and included a great view.

We were a little surprised to find that the centre of Bicester was the same as many towns we have visited this year. Somewhat gloomy, lack of individual shops, slightly grubby and dirty pavements areas, especially the pedestrian areas. However, on the positive side Safeway's was in the centre with a large free for 2 hours car park and laid out rather ingeniously.
WE believe that the Village outlet centre was located too near the centre and really dwarfed the town areas with designer brand clothes fashion ideas.
Never mind you will not please everyone all of the time.......

Our son had bought my wife a 'Drive a Fire Engine' experience and we decided to stay overnight. That part of the trip was excellent. The centre was pleasant and clean. There were plenty of charity shops (a plus) and pubs to eat in. We chose the Penny Black in town (for drinks & breakfast) and The Acorn for a meal. At The Acorn, the staff were particularly friendly and the steaks were great.
Coles Bookshop was brilliant - could've spent a fortune.
Unless you're REALLY interested in clothes, the Village is a waste of time cos there are mostly clothes shops and it took us twenty minutes to have a wander round and then leave.

We wanted to visit the Bicester Shopping Village hence the road trip from Halifax to the area.
Stopped at the Holiday Inn overnight, basic facilities but okay for the one night, watch out for the £5 parking charge plus the PodPoint chargers aren’t free here unlike the Best Westerns.
The shopping village is definitely worth a visit, plenty of shops although quite a few are the usual chains but we enjoyed the experience.
We didn’t manage to get into Bicester itself as it was raining and a bit miserable weather-wise but I’ve been there years ago and its its worth a visit especially if you are keen on photography, plenty to see and do, overall worth breaking your journey for a visit

Stayed in Bicester, a lovely town, as it was close to the Silverstone Circuit for the F1 British Grand Prix, being only 30 minutes away. Great place for expensive outlet shopping.
Easy to reach Oxford by train or car.
The house was clean and tidy, hosts made sure we had all the information needed to get there. There was always a parking space in the front of the house available. Location itself was good, close to the Bicester Village, and also about 10min walk from the town centre. Kitchen had more than enough utensils, cutlery and crockery for 3 adults and 2 kids to stay. Host was responsive to solve the issues that arose during our stay. Cot bed was provided for our stay. Overall a lovely 3 bedroom house in a nice countryside town.
What a lovely B&B Lionsgate is, in a great location for Bicester Village Outlet (5 minutes walk) and Town Centre for food at night (5 minutes also.)
Lionsgate was clean, bright and airy, beautifully decorated throughout and a spacious bedroom and en-suite. Kerrie has thought of everything, even down to phone charger, which I had forgotten. Water, tea coffee, biscuits, ear plugs (🙂) etc in room.
Breakfast was good, parking on-site...a real must if looking for somewhere to stay in Bicester. Thank you Kerrie.
I booked this room last minute as my BF and I were travelling and decided to stay the night in Bicester as it was on our drive route.
Great location 5 mins from the town centre
Close to Bicester Village shopping outlet
Very clean
But for us the stay was made by the welcoming and accommodating staff, we couldn’t have felt more looked after.
Abed works extremely hard and is the nicest friendliest person.
Thank you again
Would highly recommend!
Good location for Bicester Shopping Village, the reason for our visit.
Easy access off the M40. Plenty of parking (£5 a day).
Fair breakfast, mushrooms would have made it perfect for me.
We would probably return here if we wanted to visit the shopping village again as its convenient although there are a few more budget hotels in the area so quite a bit of choice.
Hotel is above a pub and is in a good central location with parking and many restaurants nearby. Very close to Bicester Village (which is why we went). Staff all seemed very pleasant and advised us of a discount at the bar if staying in the hotel. If anything room might be too cheap based on facilities, location etc.
Location was lovely ,country small village ,lovely gardens ,chalet was cosy and good size , all facilities were available ,fridge with water and milk ,and plenty of Tea/Coffee making items .Breakfast was amazing ,good selection ,both hosts Barbara & Troy were pleasant and helpful ,Thank you for a lovely visit
I totally enjoyed staying at the Chestterton, room was comfortable and clean, have all I need for a good rest. The location and surrounding are beautiful and the decoration of the hotel inspire the reading. I was only able to eat breakfast, but it was excellent. Totally recommended for a escape any time.
Lovely place to stay. The room was fabulous , house and grounds were beautiful. Plenty of safe parking , everything very clean and well maintained. Staff were all friendly and helpful. 10 mins from Bicester village , 20 mins from Oxford town centre. Really pleased with our stay.
The property was clean and our family room was comfortable and a good size for us three adults. The situation of the hotel was ideal for us to visit Bicester Village. Overall, our trip was enjoyable and the hotel perfectly adequate.
Room was clean and recently decorated, if a little small. Hotel was opposite a pub serving good and inexpensive meals. Bus stop (for Oxford or Bicester Village, for example) was just over the road. Area was quiet over night.
The hotel was in a perfect location for our overnight stay on a shopping trip to Bicester Village. Fabulous food and friendly staff with a strong design running through the hotel and rooms.
Super hotel with all the luxuries. Fabulous reception restaurant and bar. The rooms are so stylish. Gorgeous made to order breakfast and late check out time. The grounds are stunning!!
Very clean, modern, good facilities spa especially. Breakfast was delicious.
Lovely scenery surrounding hotel.
Easy to get to park and ride for Oxford and into Bicester village.
Hotel room is well designed and well maintained, Good room space, Good AV and lighting. Pillows are comfortable.
Cafe area is spacious. Happy with the grab-N go arrangement.
Location ideal as one pair travelled from the south and the other from North London, so a good connection point. Lovely location, quiet and delightful village environment.
Hotel recently modernised and in central location with free car park.
Good lounge and patio area served by efficient and friendly bar staff.
My room was spotlessly clean.
The staff is very friendly. The hotel looks historic but the room is very clean and spacious. The bed is comfy, wifi works fast. Breakfast is good. It's a pleasant stay.
