The village itself was very friendly. I had rented a Ebike and found that the drivers in the area were very respectful of cyclists. I saw a lot of waterfalls and met a lot of wonderful people. It was better than I could have hoped.

Betws-y-coed is a really nice place and makes you feel like you really are on holiday. The views are stunning and have a real European feel. The place gets really busy so getting an evening meal can be tricky. Food and drinks are expensive, they are more than London prices. Compared to other places in North wales, Betws-y-coed is head and shoulders above them.

Beautiful scenery and great for walking.
Beautiful scenery and great for walking. Accessed by road and rail, its central location is ideal for visits to Bodnant Gardens and Snowdonia. Relatively easy for keen walkers to reach Fairy Glen and Conwy Falls, as well as Swallow Falls and the Ugly House..
Characterised by substantial stone properties and its riverside location, this is a charming place which can get very busy with hikers and sightseers. It's only a small town, but there are a variety of shops and places to eat - from small cafes to hotel restaurants to suit all pockets, but quality varies. Excellent food is available in the Royal Oak Hotel restaurant.
Golfers are welcome at the flat 9 hole course which has excellent greens and is well maintained.

Small village but very quaint and with plenty of amenities available.
The train station is right in the middle of the village and connects with Llandudno from where many connections are available to England’s major cities. Around the station are restaurants and cafes, and the visitor centre is in walking distance (also with cafe and other shops).
I didn’t use any of the buses but could see a few that take you to other towns, including the ones that are a starting point to hike Snowdon.
From Betws-Y-Coed there are a few very agreeable walks like Fairy Glen, Llyn Elsi, and Swallow Falls, through the forest or along the river.
It’s a lovely place to stay for a few days. Tranquil and relaxing.

So much to do and see within a reasonable drive.
So much to do and see within a reasonable drive. Aswell as Betws-y-coed, we visited Zip World, Anglesey and Llandudno.
Some of the roads were extremely narrow, but we hardly saw any traffic on them.
Lots of lovely shops and cafes in Betws-y, and the views were amazing. We even saw the B&B that we visited 15 years ago was still there!
Hotel location very close to the village centre with church nearby (nice to hear the bells). breakfast was very nice served in the room itself caused by covid restrictions, room was clean with hair-dryer, kettle and plenty of tea/coffee supply. Julie & Tony were really accommodating - prepared a take-away breakfast for us to have on our trip to the top of Snowdon. Really loved the whole area around the hotel and had a great time. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you very much for everything
I liked how friendly the staff were.
I liked how clean and comfortable the rooms were.
I loved the views and the location beside the river and that we were able to take a walk nearby.
We had breakfast both mornings of our stay and took dinner one night. The food was excellent, dinner especially so.
The people we met locally when we walked to the nearest pub were very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome.
Overall, I would highly recommend the hotel and area.
Jeanette (and Steve) was very friendly and welcoming and helpful. Great choice of breakfast (including for us vegetarians). Great location with a picturesque river walk into the lovely Town of Betws-y-coed. On site parking was good - never a time that we couldn’t park there. Also, we left something in our room on departure and Jeanette was great at communicating and promptly sorting out posting the item to us before we headed back to Australia.
The host at Glyntwrog House really cared that we had everything that we needed for a nice stay at their place. They even have a special doorbell in the hall to ring if we needed anything! Our Finch Room was very cute & a cheery sunny room. We took his advice & walked the 15-minutes (nice walk) over to Hangin Pizzeria for pizza. The area is so beautiful! We wished we could have added a few extra days in our England/Wales trip to stay longer.
The Afon View is a lovely house with the perfect location iin beautiful Betws--y-coed. It is within walking distance to everything in town, as well as a great base to explore Snowdonia and North Wales. Gid was an excellent host, providing a clean, comfortable stay and a helpful website with links to food and activities around the area. Parking was also available in the rear, which is often not the case in Wales.
The property was just outside of the village with a short walk to local restaurants and hotels/pubs. We were able to leave car outside at the property. Gary & Jackie were fantastic hosts and gave us plenty of help with things to do in the area. Also as a bonus, the bus stop for our ride on the S1 bus to Snowdon was 20 yards from the front door. We had a great weekend, the breakfast was awesome too!
We stayed in a number of rooms in the bunkhouse so weren't expecting grand luxury but what we had was great for £27 pp per night. Secure and clean rooms, very clean male and female facilities with toilets, sinks and showers, small kitchen and drying room.
Still had access to the hotel's amenities. The bar was great and all staff were very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay again.
Great location, 5 mins walk into the village. 5 mins drive to zipworld betws y coed. We were in the area to walk snowdon and it suited our needs with close access to all routes 👍
The place could do with some TLC but the host is amazing running it on her own , so friendly, bed was comfy, room clean and breakfast very good. Price reasonable and would stay again on our next visit.
A beautiful place set on the outskirts of a quiet village with views of the surrounding countryside and mountains.
The cottage itself was probably the best we've ever stayed in. Everything was superb and the host was lovely.
We'd definitely like to go back.
Be sure to visit Conwy falls, a short drive from the property. Go early to avoid the crowds.
A lovely hotel. Lovely view of the River Conwy from the bedroom window. The bedroom was clean and nicely decorated and the shower was very modern and clean too . So much choice on the dinner menu , my steak was excellent . The staff were friendly too . Whenever I visit Betws y Coed in the future I'll be staying here .
Couldn't recommend this place more. Paul and his wife were so lovely and accommodating, great recommendations as to walks and restaurants in the area, the room was so comfortable and immaculately clean, breakfast was gorgeous with so much choice. Will absolutely be returning.
All of the staff were all very polite and accommodating, couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit and pastries etc. Good facilities with pool, hottub and sauna. Really nice couple of days stay. Will love to come back. Recommend this hotel.
I love Betws Y Coed and The Stables is the best pub, so to stay in a hotel room attached was ideal! Really smart room, big comfy bed, nice bathroom, eat check in and free parking to 11pm the next day. This was ideal for a weekend in the beautiful Betws.
Very nice hotel nestled in the hills of Betws y Coed with superb access to the village and all of its charms, and Snowdonia with all of its adventures. Comfortable and clean and pet friendly which is a must.
Decor was nice. Shower was good. Very quiet once music stops playing. Location is good to walk down into village centre. Breakfast was basic (cereal, toast, yoghurt)
Great location, service and staff were great from arrival to check-out. Nice size hotel, good decor and feel to the place. Nice restaurant and outside areas.
