Lovely room overlooking the wildlife area - we watched owls, deer and foxes from the window. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast served in the room (so you don't have to dress for breakfast!). Peaceful, remote location. Very handy for Sutton Hoo. Definitely recommend Bawdsey Hall, especially if you enjoy watching wildlife.

The location was perfect for visiting Bawdsey Quay and taking the ferry across to Felixtowe Quay. An ideal location if you are interested in wildlife and having a relaxing break. The Ramsholt Arms was a fifteen minute drive away and is located on the Deben estuary...a fantastic spot to eat and enjoy the natural surroundings. It was an ideal place to stay for a two night break.

Small quiet village but no amenities therefore used the next Village Alderton where we ate in the Swan and used there local store. Bawdsey Quey was a pleasant surprise, Boatyard cafe was very good and reasonably priced. Also used the Deben Ferry to Felixstowe ferry. Small Quey but had a lot going for it. Well worth a visit.

Quiet restful with wildlife to watch.
Quiet restful with wildlife to watch. Just the break we were looking for.
Bawdsey Quay was lovely. The Swan just up the road from the hotel was excellent for food as was the Unruly Pig a little further away. We used the car but there are lovely walks around the area.
