Bartley is a lovely peaceful place set in the new forest...
Bartley is a lovely peaceful place set in the new forest with horses and cows that can roam free and to see deers and there fawns if you are lucky a local shop and post office we ate in the Haywaire The food wasn't great so I wouldn't recommend it close to lyndhurst shops and Bartley is great to walk around and to explore and take in the breath taken views
Location and room was great, staff were helpful and friendly. My nan had an easy access ground floor rom that smelt a bit but ours was fine. You have appreciate it is a very old converted listed building so it wont have the feel and facilities of a big hotel.
The food is very good with breakfast lunch and dinner menus, a bar area and plenty of parking. Dogs are welcomed and is half hour from Lyndhurst which has lots of nice shops.
The location was beautiful. The grounds and woods behind hotel were stunning for a post dinner, post breakfast walk. Wild horses were running around the forest after breakfast. The food was fresh, varied and very tasty- reasonably priced as well. The family room
On the top floor was gorgeous, spacious and clean with lovely views. Perfect for a family. We would book again.
Loved the location, but also very happy with the hotel. Staff extremely helpful and patient, really made an effort with our anxious little dog- loved the fact that it was so dog friendly in general, gardens lovely and lead straight into the New Forest- mind blowing. Will definitely go back!
A group of 9 of us had a lovely weekend stay here for the weekend. The rooms were bright and spacious with comfy beds, the gardens were fun to explore, and we really enjoyed the more homely atmosphere of a smaller hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome!
A very charming hotel (made me think of Agatha Christie) in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest. The room was comfortable and big with lovely views of the Forest. We had dinner there and the food was delicious. staff were always friendly and helpful.
Last minute booking due to leaving previous hotel because of state of room we were given.Ended up being a great find and great base for around New Forest area.Very peaceful and large area at rear for dogs etc.If you want to get away from it all go here.
Location with excellent and the food very good. Staff all very helpful and the hotel itself had a lot of character. Quiet too as during the week so lovely and peaceful everywhere.
