Comfortable, functional. Good swimming and sauna facilities.
Breakfast range of foods/ drinks was good especially the vegan/gluten free smoothies and fruit section. Dinner was quite pricey for what it was and also too salty though a decent meal overall.
Set in a historic inn, The George Hotel of Stamford is located just off the ancient Great North Road.

We have stayed at The George before since we come to The UK to visit my husband’s friends and family. He is British and I am American. The George is a wonderful place in a lovely town and everything about staying here is a pleasure…excellent, attentive staff, food and drink and the surroundings in which to enjoy them and the magnificent chunk of very British history this lovingly maintained property offers. We love The George and will continue to stay here!

Location near the Burghley Estate house. Great scenery. Ample parking with easy access. Close to downtown shops and restaurants. The meals were included and the food was good. A lovely old building.
