I loved the size of the room and the complimentary robes & slippers. The view was also amazing - we were in a sea front privileged room. The location of the hotel was great. Plenty round about. The breakfast was also really great, we were pleasantly surprised.

Stayed here a week ago and decided to stay again as it was only a little over an hour to the Ferry heading back to Ireland. Great hotel and great breakfast . Also Cloe at front desk was very helpful in printing out birding pass for us.

The town is not what it once was, but as someone born and bred in Ayr I have nothing to dislike about it. Loads of good places to stay and to eat for all tastes and expenses. Very easy to navigate around the town by car, lots of buses at regular intervals. 3 great golf courses if that's your thing, loads of nice walks along the river, beach and if you find it Craigie Park (great for picnics).

Although there is a selection of the bars, restaurants and shops, the town centre is sadly lacking. Many, many empty shops. Full of charity shops, nail bars and vape shops. Ayr used to be one of my favourite places. Sadly, unfortunately those days are long gone.

Not an awful lot to do especially for young people but Culzean Castle and Dumfries House worth a visit. We also enjoyed the Burns museum. Glasgow easy drive away. Ayr and other beaches would be great in warmer months . Best dinner was at Kirkton Inn, Dalrymple and best lunch at The Coo Shed
On arrival after a 6 hour journey we were met with a lovely welcome from Liz, shown our room which was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was served which was cooked and to the highest standard, it filled us for the day. I would recommend this guest house to anyone staying in this area which has beautiful countryside just out of Ayr and near to places to visit. Also the guest houses gardens are very well kept and looked beautiful with all the flowers in bloom.

The Ayr and Galloway hotel offers a pleasant stay in their comfortable hotel rooms. Our room was spotless, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. There was plenty of hot water for a relaxing shower. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. The dining experience was tasty,.filling, with hearty bar food options available..we had a nice stay and would stay again.
Beautiful seafront location and views, adjacent to the lovely Ayr beach and promenade. Comfortable rooms and courteous and attentive staff made the stay a real pleasure. Dogs were welcomed, and well catered for. The bar and restaurant were first class and comfortable.
A family run hotel, not pretentious in any way, we felt welcome and very comfortable throughout our stay.
Hotel was older (as in vintage) but clean and the proprietor was incredibly nice and accommodating (no pun intended).
We had a diverted flight from Ireland to Scotland and had booked a room at 2am so very inconvenient to the hotel, but not only did they get us booked in quickly, scrounged for fruit first is you ready since we were starving...
Much appreciated! 👍👍👍👍
The staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel was very clean and the location was very central, there is also a great pub called smiths right next door where you can watch the football and have a marvellous meal,we booked this hotel to go to Ayr races which was only a short taxi ride away,we will definitely book the mercury next time we go to Ayr 10/10.
Cozy apartment in the beautiful city of Ayr, all the sights and infrastructure of the city are within walking distance. Walking along the oceanfront promenade with a fresh breeze invigorates and energizes. Very hospitable hosts. Special thanks to the hostess Julia who helped and supported us.
Everything as usual..... beautiful room, clean, comfy bed, nice hot shower.... our 'go to' hotel when in Ayr. Excited to see the restaurant downstairs opening again and got a sneak peak....looks amazing. Will add to the already perfect hotel.
Warm, cosy hotel with an excellent roomy bedroom and large bathroom. Evening meal very tasty and good service. Excellent breakfast with extras on request. Car parking free and spacious and town centre and beach only a short distance away.
Brought up in Ayrshire so I already knew it was special but the hospitality I received at Kilkerran was excellent from the start. Lovely warm and friendly host. The facilities were clean and cozy. Comfy bed too.
It was a lovely hotel, very warm and welcoming and staff very helpful I have recommended it for a place to stay if you’re in AYR it’s a 5 minute walk to get to town centre and easy to find when arriving by car
Excellent location for our trip to Ayr racing. Minutes from racecourse and city centre. 3 male adults but plenty space. 3 bedrooms and very spacious. Kitchen, garden, living room, parking etc
Friendly welcoming staff. The rooms decor was very clean and modern. Great location within Ayr. Great Breakfast the following morning. Would happily return in the future.
