Oversized room , very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Although we didn’t have dinner, the restaurant was very full with locals, always a good sign. The staff was very nice and helpful.

make no mistake this is a budget hotel and looks like it in some areas. But it is on the High Street and it is friendly and clean. And it is half price of any other hotel in the area. This time we paid a little more for a suite and we had a king sized bed, a big room and even bigger ensuite bathroom a lovely free standing antique bath.

Staff were extremely helpful, especially over one guest's mobility issues. The on-site pub/restaurant had excellent food. Check-in was friendly and it was great to deal with real humans online rather than chatbots etc. Rooms were quiet, well-equipped and comfortable.
