the hotel was lovely. we like the food being all local produce as i come from a farming family . We loved the peace and quiet , just the place to re charge and relax. We fell asleep listening to the waves lapping on the shore. Hope to return next year. Thank you to all the staff and family.

Just brilliant. Fabulous location and just the friendliest people too. And not forgetting the food either - perfect.
The ideal place for a weekend getaway or a work do. Love it - thank you.
Auchencairn itself doesn't have many facilities, but there...
Auchencairn itself doesn't have many facilities, but there are lovely walks/cycle rides nearby and lots of interesting small towns to visit in the neighbourhood. I would recommend Kirkcudbright for individual shops and nice pubs/restaurants (The Selkirk) and Kippford for walks and views (The Anchor serves great food). Castle Douglas, Gatehouse of Fleet and Rockcliffe all worth a visit.
