Excellent large room overlooking the trees out front. Welcoming staff who helped carry out bags up the stairs, noticing my injured hand. Pleasant lady in the spacious breakfast room, who was efficient and helpful. Handy position just off the busy A34, great for a stopover.
With a peaceful, rural location, just 20 minutes from the historic university city of Oxford and just 10 minutes from Abingdon, the hotel is rich in original character and dates to the 19th Century.

Staff were very good, attentive to our needs, very chatty and pleasant, breakfast was very nice, room was warm and spacious with enough storage and hangers, gardens look nice and plenty of parking available. We enjoyed dinner in the bar, pies were especially good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dinckley Court. It’s a beautiful property located as it is alongside the River Thames and the perfect spot for visiting Oxford and other nearby parts of Oxfordshire. There are many great options for eating nearby. We received a very warm welcome from Annette and our room was very comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely stay at Dinckley Court again!

The room was small but cosy with a comfortable bed. The location is lovely, just over the bridge from town and surrounded by lovely tranquil countryside. It’s close to restaurants and pubs and the self check-in is straightforward. Breakfast is basic (toast, pastries, cereal, boiled eggs) but tasty. It’s a great spot to stay!

We'd just missed the farmers market on Friday which was a pity. Science convention in the square on Saturday. A real hive of activity. Lots of lovely historical buildings and the Abbey gardens were lovely even on a wet march day.

We live in Leeds so the trip to Abingdon is one of our favourites .A small market town with lots of places to eat and lovely Oxfordshire countryside and wildlife. Nearby Bletchley Park is definitely worth a visit. There are lots of places to walk in Abingdon and lots of history to discover. Oxford is only a bus ride away and they are very regular .Would never drive there.

I used to live in Abingdon and area for 44 years, so I would reccamened a holiday there for any explorer of Oxfordshire as bace to start from, for traveling north or south as there are many beautyfull towns and villages to visit.
Great location for visiting Abingdon and Didcot amongst other towns in a small village with a nice restaurant and pub. Lovely property set back off the street so it’s very quiet and private. The annexe is very clean and has lovely fresh bedding and decor. Nice treats upon arrival - milk, biscuits and wine. And tea, coffee and sugar plus oils and seasonings available for use at the property. Everything’s been thought of.
Good location for central Abingdon. Polite staff but room 1 above pub with music and noise until after midnight, so woken up when kicking out time. No tea and coffee facilities in room, but there was juice and water in fridge on the landing. Room very recently upgraded so it was comfortable and modern in an old creaky floorboards building. Felt it was expensive with no cooked breakfast.
Very handy location for us as family live in Steventon. Stayed in the accommodation that is situated off the courtyard / beer garden with your own front door. Bus stop to Abingdon and Oxford very short walk and also a coop which was handy. Car park was right next to accommodation as well so overall really handy for getting bags in. The beds were very comfortable and we would book again.
The Plum Pudding is a lovely pub in a quiet location with easy access into Abingdon and Oxford by the local bus. Our room was comfortable, cosy and had everything you needed for your stay. The food in the bar was delicious, the staff were very attentive and polite. Would highly recommend. Parking wasn’t an issue we left our car there all weekend and used the bus.
The location. The hotel is in the prettiest part of central Abingdon in pleasant, leafy surroundings, next to the Thames in the grounds of Abingdon Abbey and very close to amenities. When we decided to cancel our booking on the spot and seek somewhere else to stay (for reasons outlined below), the staff did not quibble and issued a full refund.
The apartment block was quiet and the other residents respectful of the no noise after 9pm rule.
Great central location close to Abingdon town centre
I highly recommend breakfasts at R&R and a visit to Mostly Books around the corner.
There's buses regularly into Oxford from just round the corner every 20mins.
The location of the hotel is fantastic in Abingdon, central and near everything! The room was large with a lovely double bed in it and a powerful shower, the food was exceptional for breakfast and the staff are always very friendly every time I visit, thank you.
Second time we have stayed at Dinckley Court.
Lovely accommodation.
Annette the host is great and very helpful.
Great spot for visiting Abingdon and Oxford.
The view of the river from the bottom of the garden is fantastic.
Visit you won't be disappointed.
The location perfect for my purpose of attending a wedding at Jesus Chapel Oxford and for the closeness of the reception held at Kingston Bagpuize House. The breakfast was a choice of 3 servings and you cannot do any better!!
A most gorgeous studio unit in a lovely village close to Abingdon. The unit is very well equipped, comfortable and modern . We well and truly had everything we needed. Very friendly accommodating hosts and a lovely cat.
Rooms are to an excellent standard of decoration and cleanliness. The location is perfect for Abingdon and accessing Oxford. Parking is available on site and good choice of shops nearby.
The room was lovely and comfortable - tastefully decorated and had everything you might need including a kitchen. The location is very convenient for visiting Abingdon School.
Lovely village, and lovely hotel, the rooms are decorated lovely the size and comfort was excellent. Location great. Breakfast was lovely and we would stay again.
