Clean room, really good breakfast. Parking is a bit difficult and the neighborhood is not great.

Easy walking distance of the station. Room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Perfectly located to see the town and beach front. Hosts were lovely and welcoming. Special mention for the efforts they went to when I left a necklace behind in my room. They made arrangements with me so I could get it back which meant a lot due to its sentimental value. Thank you!

Good location, staff were lovely, food was lovely. Couldn’t have the breakfast I had already paid for in the morning though as there was only one server and was taking too long when I had an appointment to get too.

Aberystwyth looked a little run down since the last time I visited about 20 years ago ..a lot of student lettings on seafront and the majority of buildings needed a coat of paint.
We were advised to go to pier restaurant where apparently they did steaks and various other options but when we went they only served fish and chips. Very nice but abit disappointed there was not a menu. Served in a box with wooden cutlery, a bit disappointed that we had such lovely views and a nice atmosphere and had basically a take away but to eat indoors .
We had breakfast at ‘The Home kitchen’ that was lovely
General the local pubs are very nice and not too expensive.
We did have dinner at the Marine hotel that was very friendly and inviting
Constitution Hill was an experience you can either walk up or go on the cliff railroad and when you get to the summit there is a lovely restaurant/bar not to mention the beautiful views from the outdoor dining area

I liked the shopping as lots of craft shops and charity shops. Lovely walk along the front and you have the ruins of the castle at one end and the funicular railway at the other end. Worth going up in the funicular as lovely views at the top and the café has delicious ice cream.
There are lots of bars and places to eat so you won't go thirsty or hungry.
I can recommend an Indian Restaurant called the 'Light of Asia' - very tasty food and a good vegetarian selection.
Also a vegetarian/vegan café called 'Dragonfly Bistro' with lovely food and very friendly staff. I would recommend the Sunday Roast but book a table as they are very popular.

I loved the bay and the coastal walkway.
I loved the bay and the coastal walkway. I was disappointed with the condition of the properties along and around the seafront. A feeling of neglect around the small streets. Lots of seagull droppings and rubbish cluttered these areas. The area around the train station was more desirable.

Had events worth attending. We managed to get last tickets to an event showing that it is popular to locals and visitors
Bikes from all across UK headed there on a sunny day. The roads were fantastic and the places of outstanding beauty were stunning too!

We enjoyed the closeness of everything and being able to walk to most places. It was an interesting town which we look forward to exploring more fully on our next visit.
We ate at a restaurant right next to the station, The Athro lounge, good selection for vegetarians and child friendly, to be recommended.

Good road and rail links make it easy to explore this...
Good road and rail links make it easy to explore this beautiful region, or you can just hit the coastal path to do some brilliant walking. The short but challenging walk to Borth, for instance, has dramatic scenery but you can then catch the train back to Aberystwyth.
For train fans, and the less fit, you can catch the funicular up Constitution Hill for a great panoramic view and I understand there’s a steam train but I ran out of time.
However don’t expect golden sands, rather black, coarse grit.
For dinner with a difference try Paprika for authentic Hungarian food and wines.
We had a fabulous stay at Bodalwyn Guest House. Check in was smooth and done easily with the room key left for you at reception.
The location of the guest house is perfect - a minute walk to the seafront and only five minutes to most of the shops.
The room itself was lovely, with a massive comfy bed and gorgeous bay window. We even had a bit of a sea view!
Overall, I would recommend the guesthouse to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to rebook! The perfect base for a visit to Aber.
This is a beautiful old house from the early 1800’s. It’s not often we get to stay in a price of history.
The inside of the house is well maintained. The room we had (George Powell) was huge as was the bathroom.
The breakfast choice was great, my daughter and I had eggs benedict royale, my wife had a full Welsh.
The grounds are stunning and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend this hotel
The hotel is in the heart of Aberystwyth so once you manage to park ( and we were lucky enough to secure a space in the small car park at the rear) you can walk anywhere. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and keen to help. We ate in the bistro and food was excellent and good value as was breakfast. Free bottled water machine available to guests.
Amazing property with gorgeously appointed rooms and surroundings and top notch shared spaces. It has obviously been renovated fairly recently with really beautiful, modern finishes. Located a short walk from Constitution Hill and the rest of town. Aberystwyth was a hidden gem for us on our journey and this property was an amazing find.
The room was furnished to a very high standard. The staff were very friendly, providing an ironing board and iron upon request. I had breakfast included with the rate I paid for with my room and the cooked breakfast and continental was delicious. I will definitely look for a Park Lodge hotel next time I am away for work.
Lovely property with everything you need. Modern kitchen and bathroom with the rest of the house having Victorian features such as fireplace etc! There was only 2 of us and a small dog so very comfortable and a good location to get to Aberystwyth and surrounding area.
Spacious apartment, lovely sea view balcony with excellent views across Aberystwyth. About 5-10 minute walk to town or the beach so not far at all. Free parking is always a bonus. 2 bathrooms also useful when 4 are staying. Host was very responsive.
The hotel is open and airy with a feel that you might stay a week or so. The breakfast was great with a selection including a cooked breakfast. The staff and bar were friendly and outside a good crowd of happy people made everyone welcome.
Great location! Close to beach and shops. Hotel is nice and cozy, with the kitchen and all necessities available. Room was clean and bigger than expected. If I'll be back in Aberystwyth, definitely staying here. Recommend!
I loved The Richmond Hotel! The room was huge, decorated, and very very comfortable. The staff were super-helpful and friendly. It's in a great location. Couldn't be better. Best hotel I've stayed in for ages.
friendliness of staff. checking in was fast. no queueing to check in was a plus. always somebody available if help was required. location of hotel for amenities and seafront was spot on. Lots of praise for that.
Once we found the hotel all was well it is well organised and the rooms are nice
Aberystwyth’s one way system makes things hard as a stranger to the area but the hotel do their best to help
Well-run pub/hotel in superb location, clean well-appointed room, generous breakfast and friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Aberystwyth.
a great location in Aberystwyth, a short walk from the shops and seafront. a good car park and ease of use to get into the hotel once checked in via keycard.
