Warm welcome, excellent hospitality. Food at breakfast and dinner were excellent. The Inn is an excellent base for golfers exploring East Lothian. A few minutes from Kilspindie and Gullane, and about 15 minutes from North Berwick. The train to Edinburgh is nearby (five minutes drive with good parking) at Longniddry (only 19 minutes to the City). On top of all this, an excellent value.

The breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented as were the meals we had in the restaurant at dinner.
The dining room was nice on two levels with a well stocked bar.
Staff were friendly and informative. One young member helped us upstairs with our luggage.
The view from the bedroom was superb over the Firth to Fife.

Room (I think it was 14?) was nice, although tv perhaps a bit small by modern standards. Good lighting for reading in bed - thankyou! Public rooms and front gardens very nice; the website showed more extensive grounds behind the hotel, but we had an evening commitment and a fairly early departure, so didn't get to look! Breakfast was fine and nicely served at table by friendly staff. Haddington is a nice small town with clearly a lot of history around the town and general region. I would like to come back to this area at some point, and this feels like a good base.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although things are older, everything was clean and in good working order. Things in the room were replenished every day. The downstairs pub and restaurant is convenient and high quality. The food comes quickly and especially the seafood I found outstanding. They offer a large breakfast that I could not finish, but excellent quality. The beer garden in the back was not visited but it looks very nice.

From arriving at Aberlady, we were welcomed with smiles & efficiency. My dietary needs were catered for & all meals were fabulous. Jill was exceptional on every level & chatted to us like old friends meeting up! We had a joyous stay & will return.

A beautiful cottage, very clean with lots of space , log fire and was furnished to a high standard. The views and the grounds were amazing and we had plenty of walks and visits to the nearby beaches and nature reserve.
We visited nearby North Berwick which we loved .
This holiday was ideal to suit generations of people as we had our daughter and granddaughter with us.

On arrival the welcome was warm and friendly and very informative. We stayed in for a meal and the food was lovely. Again the friendly service was outstanding. The room was basic but clean with everything you would need. Breakfast, food was lovely and again staff friendly and helpful. Very accommodating with our greyhound. A warm and friendly inn and staff a credit to the two owners. 👍

Aberlady is a lovely, small friendly village. The Inn where we stayed offered great value for money. Run by friendly, helpful staff where nothing was too much trouble. Pet friendly and made our Labrador very welcome providing water and a treat whenever we had a meal or a drink in the lounge bar.
Arrived tired and hungry to the most lovely warm welcome from young staff. Got my bag from my car and took to the room , squeezed me in for a superb dinner ( far better than I expected then gave me information on a lovely walk around this lovely village. Spotless comfortable room and bed, lovely breakfast
I've passed here so many times on my way to Gullane and can't believe I've not been here before but I will certainly be back both business and pleasure. Thanks to all at the Aberlady Inn
The Old Aberlady Inn is one of the most dog friendly places we have stayed and the accommodation was ideal for the two of us and our dog.
Staff were wonderful - friendly and attentive - and food was great (evening meal and breakfast).
Room was cosy and warm (mid-Feb stay) and bed very comfortable. 12 noon checkout allowed us a leisurely departure.
Really enjoyed our short stay. Couldn't have asked for more - thank you 🙏
The house was in a superb location with a fabulous balcony overlooking Aberlady Bay and the firth of forth. It was the perfect size for 5 couples and all but one had ensuite bathrooms, although the 5th bedroom had a bathroom.right outside the room with exclusive use. Really clean and well equipped with evrythibg you would need. Great sized kitchen and dining room and minutes from the beach, shop and pub.

Very comfortable, clean and well appointed apartment in Aberlady with lovely view over bay. Handy for beach, shop and restaurants all within walking distance. Very kind local contact Jennifer, who personally delivered keys to a local address night before (so that we could drop off wedding outfits, etc., next day) and provided other very useful information via phone discussion.
Lovely, friendly hotel with a friendly pub and restaurant area. Our room was very clean and spacious, and we really enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. The location was also perfect for us as we were attending a wedding at the community hall which is a 30-second walk away.
Aberlady is a stunning location overall, and the Duck's Inn is at the center of it. There's a good convenience store across the road and the Duck's Inn bar and restaurant are both great.
