Strasbourg is a beautiful historical city. The transport system in the city is wonderful. I loved riding on the trams. The staff at the tourist office were very helpful. Reductions for being over 60 at museums. Wonderful artisan bread and cheese. Loved the Alsatian Pino Noir.

We used the map (1.50 euro) from the Strasbourg Tourist Office to do our own self-guided tour of the old town in the morning then did a 1h15 Batorama river cruise in an open-topped riverboat in the afternoon which was well worth the money (15.75 euro per person). You need to allow plenty of time to view the Strasbourg Cathedral of Notre-Dame both inside and out - the Astronomical Clock inside is a must see!

Strasbourg is clean, pedestrian friendly, with easy access to trains, buses and trams. We found it a bit confusing figuring out the transit system at first, but once done, they are great. We highly recommend the Modern Art Museum (and their cafe is lovely) and a visit to the European Parliament. The architecture in both is amazing.

We enjoyed seeing the city and walking the streets.
We enjoyed seeing the city and walking the streets. The atmosphere was very positive and joyful. You could buy interesting souvenirs. The food was variable and delicious. Lot of sweats and cakes everywhere. The sellers and staffs of sale centers tried to talk on English and it was very good since my french ability is weak. The public transportation was great. It could also be a tourist attraction.

Magical place wandering around Le petite france area.
Magical place wandering around Le petite france area. Highly recommend the tourist trains (there are two) which both go from either side of the cathedral. 45 mins each circuit. Informative and interesting. Do the one through Le Petite France first as it’s the best. The second one takes you more around the city through university area and past historical german/nazi areas. Make sure to wandering around Le Petite France on foot also though esp around the lock area by the tanners house.
Location, location, LOCATION. Fabulous location - short walk to Petit France tourist area and hotel surrounded by bars and restaurants. Easy walk to Cathedrale. I would stay again based on this. Easy walk from train station.
Rooms were standard Ibis. Small and very little shelf or wardrobe space but adequate for 1 person. It was expensive for what it was but Strasbourg is expensive and staying at Kehl or Port du Rhin is almost same price and very boring (have tried that before) Just pay the money. You will be glad you did.
The room has air-conditioning!!! This saved us as it was over 90F during our stay. Otherwise, room is small but very comfortable. But the best features are (a) the location (literally just opposite the train station, yet quiet at night) and (b) the breakfast (which has to be the best hotel breakfast I have ever had in the US or Europe). They have pet parakeets and bikes to rent. It is a fabulous hotel, with a short walk to the main sights of Strasbourg.
BOMA hotel has convenient location: ±10-minutes walk from the railway station, several minutes of an easy walk to the Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg, to the area of La Petite France. There is a variety of bars, restaurants, bistro in the neighbouring streets. Our double room was new (or newly refurbished) with an elegant decor. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The personnel of reception was professional and welcoming.
Wow! The management and amenities are very modern while you enjoy the beauty and history of a gorgeous, historic hotel. The rooms were very comfortable. Staff members went above and beyond to assist us and were very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and the neighborhood cannot be beat - so close to restaurants, shopping, sights. Saving this hotel as my go to for Strasbourg!
Hotel Vendome has an excellent location; across the main train station (Gare de Strasbourg) and at the beginning of a shopping street. The walk to the main attractions, such as Petite France or the Notre Dame de Strasbourg, are around 8-10 minutes.
The staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed our little chats with them.
Wi-fi was good.
What a delightful hotel in a privileged location. We had 3 rooms in the Pavillon annex (451, which we liked the best and 452, 454) all of them being clean, spacious and comfortable with all having lovely views. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I would certainly recommend a stay in this upscale hotel in the beautiful town of Strasbourg.
Comfortable hotel in a convenient part of Strasbourg. I came to run the half-marathon, and it was a great location -- close to the start and the finish. Bathroom was modern with stand-up shower. My room was large and well laid out. Breakfast had quite the spread with attentive staff.
We like the ambience and deco of the hotel. Bed is comfortable with daily complimentary juice and bottle water. Water pressure at shower head is good. Staff is helpful for helping us to book the train back to Paris. Hotel is walking distance to Petite France and many good eateries.
The hotel was located close to the attractions downtown. Bed was comfortable and bathroom/spa was marvelous. Close to Restaurants and a nearby Saturday Market was only a block away. Balcony overlooking Main Street was a pleasure. Will plan to stay here again when in Strasbourg.
Renting an apartment very close to train station and central Strasbourg.
Clean and comfortable but not a hotel so no extras. Great value though and very quiet. Easy to walk everywhere. Tons of nearby restaurants
Host recommended nearby cafe for breakfast and was excellent
This hotel is one of my favorite hotels in Europe. It is everything you picture when you think about France and Paris (even though Strasbourg is hours away from Paris)
I love French culture, food, and ambiance . Le Moon is the personification of France.
Good hotel in a quiet location. Small but cozy room with a table. Coffee, tea, kettle. Welcoming staff. Large parking lot. 20 minutes walk to "La Petite France", half an hour - to the "Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg". I am completely satisfied!
Beautiful hotel in the center of Strasbourg little France, walking distance from everything you want to see, you upgraded our room to the junior suite, and it was big and charming, lovely room. The spa was excellnet.
Everything! Lovely hotel, great room, spacious clean and modern refurbished to a high standard and great breakfast choice. Loved Strasbourg and if we come back we will definitely stay at Le Grand
The hotel was well located for us, we had a car to park and the hotel provided free parking. We were a 20min commute in public transport from the centre of Strasbourg, and about 35min walk.
A good place for tourists
Close to the train/ter/tram/tgv stations
Also close to most of the famous places in strasbourg like petite france and cathedral / marché de Noël
For the Brits out there, this hotel has the facilities of a Premier, with some added extras! Would definitely recommend, great location for Strasbourg Centre.
