Could not be a better spot in the heart of Saint Emilion, and yet the well-maintained hotel grounds were spacious and beautiful, overlooking vineyards. It’s probably the only place around where you can actually park your car.
Every single staff member was lovely and capable.
We can’t say enough about this wonderful and historic place.

The value was excellent. One of our more affordable stays in France, yet the hotel and staff exceeded expectations. I really enjoyed their little lounge areas, the garden/courtyard, their breakfasts, and free laundry service.

We loved everything about this chateau; the breakfasts, the staff, the comfort, and the quiet. We did not want to leave as this was our favorite place on our 23 day trip through France and Barcelona Spain. My grand-daughter and I had a couple of sessions of playing pool which was one of our favorite events on this trip besides a soccer game in Barcelona. What a great place to relax and enjoy the Bordeaux area. We took the informative wine tour and enjoyed our tasting very much.

We went for a wine tour so St-Emilion is the best base for the right bank. Food and wine options are better value for the connoisseur than in Bordeaux. Dozens of wineries surround the town and the terrain is flat on the vineyards - not in the town itself which seems to sit on a slope.

Saint-Emilion was the best stop on our trip thus far.
Saint-Emilion was the best stop on our trip thus far. We are staying in our 8th hotel right now & not one compares to the hospitality shown to us in st. Emilion. It is the most beautiful village. I will be back next year.

It is a beautiful town, with an interesting history. The food was excellent everywhere we ate. Take comfortable shoes as the cobblestones can be quite uneven at places. Take as many wine tastings as possible - the wine is soooo good. Don't miss out on the unique local macarons either. Do the historic tours and walks, it is all just so good for the soul.

The medieval town was compact, but not suitable for disabled visitors, as the streets were steep and there were many stairs. Roads were cobbled, so wheelchairs were difficult to navigate around. However, as our group were all able bodied it was not a problem for us.
As you would expect from a premier town, prices were fitting for the experience.
I would go again and stay in the town again, as day visitors did not have the luxury of the facilities behind the streets!
We ate in 3 restaurants, the best by far was Restaurant Le Tertre. Booking essential, I booked 3 months in advance to make sure we got a table!
We did the miniature train trip around the wineries in the location, excellent stop with wine tasting and celler visit.
It's a must visit town.

It's a magical city but be prepared to do some walking wearing flat shoes with non-slip soles due to the hilly and narrow roads being preserved as they were a gazillion years ago. There are many shops to peak the interests of many. Parking would be the most challenging event so keep the vehicle of choice the smaller the better.
The historic Catholic Church has 9AM services on Sunday's who welcome parishioners. Most businesses speak a fair amount of English if French is not your primary language. Credit cards are preferred.
The surrounding vineyards are immaculate and the streets are very clean and inviting!

Amazing restaurants book in advance if you wish a/c or one of the three Michelin star restaurants! Great walking around and inside the city. Entire city is beautiful. If you have spend a night or two.
Absolutely fantastic stay. Caroline and her daughter were fabulous hosts. They gave us fantastic recommendations on where to go and what to see, and assisted us by booking reservations, too. The apartment is super central right in the middle of everything. Everything is beautifully renovated, but maintains the old, rustic charm reflective of the town. There is also a cute patio out back, and cozy living space to relax and have morning coffee. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and Caroline to anyone coming to Saint-Émilion.
The room overlooked the house's back courtyard and was very quiet. My wife and I found the owners to be very welcoming and we felt that the room and the whole house were very atmospheric and provided a lovely blend of the old with the new. The location was extremely convenient for reaching everything and everywhere in Saint-Emilion.
The owner was very helpful in suggesting sites to see and restaurants to visit. He even made reservations for us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Maison Colline.
Just a short walk to the town of Saint Emilion.
It is not a « cookie cutter » hotel, but a beautiful old house typical of the area in the middle of the vineyards. The rooms which have been updated recently are beautifully decorated. The staff was very nice especially Rachel. The swimming pool was a treat after a long day of waking. We enjoyed the very informative visit of the wine cellar and the wine tasting.
I just spent a wonderful 5 days here while rowing in a big regatta in Libourne just 15 minutes away. This is an idyllic setting out amongst the vineyards and near Saint Emilion. Very much a family home. Véronique and Tony went above and beyond to attend to comfort and our schedules for racing. It was lovely to come “home” to Ch. Pierre de Lune in the evening and rest well.
Spent 2 nights, 2 rooms. The hotel is quite new and in very good condition.
Wonderful location (requires car). The atomosphere is lovely and the vineyards around are really great.
The rooms were clean, large, comfortable and air-conditioned.
Nice continental breakfast. We bought cheese and tomatoes ourself - for us that was a big upgrade to the breakfast.
Exceptional accommodation in a beautiful building and grounds and fantastic location a short distance from St Emilion to which there is a wonderful walk though the vineyards. The hosts cannot do enough to cater for every possible need . It is one of the best Chambre d’Hotes we have ever stayed at and cannot recommend highly enough.
What a beautiful chateau we arrived as they were nearing the end of the harvest which was amazing to watch. The tour of the vineyard was informative the staff especially zach was so welcoming and friendly . The walk to Saint Emillion through the vineyards was breathtaking i would highly recommend this hotel
Location was great. Staff super friendly. Apartment well equipped. The hotel that oversees the rental offered us a free wine tasting. The tasting was excellent, with a friendly and knowledgeable host who offered us wines designed to appeal to our individual preferences.
Perfect for our needs. Close to centre ,air conditioning, good comfy bed and very clean. Someone obviously cared about providing good simple accommodation at a fair price. It didn’t feel like the anonymous decor of the chain hotels. Thoroughly reccommended
The hotel is in a fantastic location right in the centre of St Emilion and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool looked lovely as well however as it was raining on our free morning we didn't have the opportunity to try it out.
The location is amazing! Right in the centre of Saint-Émilion. The room was clean and comfortable and the hosts were friendly and incredibly helpful with recommendations and restaurant bookings.
Fantastic location, amazing facilities, excellent standards of hygiene. Room was very spacious and bed extra comfortable. A total beauty as a hotel, like a fairytale
