Capital of the Departement des Landes, Mont-de-Marsan has a number of interesting buildings, parks, and a river, etc., and reasonable restaurants. It's sufficiently small to be explored on foot and makes a good centre for visiting the surrounding towns. Parking should not be a problem. There's an excellent hotel/restaurant (Le Renaissance) on the eastern edge of town.
However, towards the end of July (for five days around the saint's day of La Madeleine) all the hotels, etc., are full because it's taken over by bull-fight fans, fairground rides, vans selling fast food and noisy youngsters filling the streets until the small hours.

Stayed here because my daughter became ill while traveling abroad and needed to go to the hospital. We ended up staying in town for a few days for her to recuperate. It turned out to be a fabulous experience in this small, quaint, lovely French town. Everyone was kind and helpful. There are adorable shops and fantastic restaurants in town. We ended up enjoying our time exploring and would highly recommend a stop if you are in the south of France.

We were only their to sleep as we were heading to Calais. We arrived in the dark and left in the dark unfortunately. We had had a beautiful drive from Spain over the Pyrenees mountains. Looking forward to going back the other way, when we return our car to Spain. The only thing we would avoid next time is driving 30 kilometres out of way instead of just being able to get onto the same motorway going into the right direction.

We were located in what can only be described as an industrial estate.
We drove into the town which was pretty and we would have loved to have a drink and a meal but we could find a parking spot. After driving around for quite a while we gave up and went back to the room
This hotel is in a lovely setting with a lake in the grounds and an outside pool
We booked last minute and we booked 2 separate rooms . Sandra messaged me straight away asking if we would prefer interconnecting rooms which we did .
We received a very warm welcome and the rooms were spacious and comfortable and the dog was very welcome also .
The staff could not have been more helpful
The apartment is an extremely spacious 2-bedroom apartment. It has a special charm because the building is old and the interiors are not standard. The host is very nice. He lives in the same building, so it is easy to collect the keys. The apartment is practically in the center of Mont-de-Marsan, yet it is easy to park, as the apartment is adjacent to a huge free parking lot.
Hotel is located within steps of shops and restaurants in town. Our room was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The entire property was fabulous and our host was very gracious and very patient when communicating with Americans who don’t speak French. Breakfast was fantastic. We hated to leave and were very appreciative of the lovely, relaxing stay.
The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The room was excellent, warm , confortable, and well equipped. I booked because there was a restaurant on site. The meal was simple but very plesant. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
Hotel was very good lovely & charming with great location .
We stayed in the hotel for dinner. Very good quality food but mean on the portion.
Wine menu was disappointing especially as it’s in France .
The breakfast was rubbish unless u like fruit & some stale croissants . Coffee ok .
Stay in this gorgeous historic home in the heart of Mont-de-Marsan. Cozy, large room with views and excellent self-serve breakfast enjoyed in beautiful atrium. Central location to walk to town with free parking available nearby (or right in front of house).
Very nice hotel, nicely located. The room was big and comfy, The hotel is very quiet and in a nice area (lots of green around). Could not try the swimming pool (too cold) but it looks good. THe breakfast is good.
This is a well-kept, comfortable and clean hotel, 5 minutes' walk from the Arte Flamenco festival site and 10-15 minutes to the town centre. It is good value for money and the breakfast, with
The staff is very gentle and you feel in a luxurious hotel. The breakfast is generous, including only local and high quality products by a very decent price
This is a beautiful hotel near to the river and downtown. My stay there was perfect due to the special effort of Ludivine, the responsible of the hotel.
