We liked the view and the room. We were able to leave our bikes locked in the courtyard garden under shelter. Staff were both helpful and friendly and did their best for us.

The staff were amazing. Very friendly and very helpful regarding information about the area. I was very happy with the room as it was very clean, quiet and had a beautiful view of the fields in the back. The room was cleaned daily and the bed was super comfortable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough especially if you plan on hiking the Ruta De Cares. The price was very reasonable too. I would love to visit again in the future.

Sotres, like other villages in this area, is very small and yet very agreeable. It's peaceful and quiet, and it's easy to access a good hike without killing yourself as there are access roads that allow you to start off at height. The scenery is spectacular and you can enjoy sharing it with cows, horses, and goats. Sotres proves the adage that simple pleasures are the best.
Clean, cozy, amazing staff. They offer breakfast and dinner service (both optional), a good service alternative considering the location of Sotres, specially for off season traveling. You'll meet the owners who are informative about the area. Good location to explore the area of Los Picos de Europa, if you decide to have Sotres as you base point. Many other cute town alternatives in the area, withe same benefits.
Absolutely great! Family-like operated with everything carefully detailed. Room and beds perfect. Bar/ Restaurant also neighbourhood pub and restaurant. Every detail of the modest hotel was thought out. Highly recommend it for a couple of nights in one of Picos likely best spots to explore. A night stroll brings out all of the rustic charm including wood burning fireplaces. Yummy!
The location. Sotres is such a magical village to spend some time in, so beautiful and peaceful. Many amazing hikes on your door step. La Cabana was the perfect accomodation, all you could possibly want and right on the center of the village. Communications with the host were excellent and accessing the accomodation was straight forward. Gracias.
Manuel and the team were fantastic. During our 4 nights, we ate in the hotel restaurant having fabulous meals both times. English language was a bit tricky but we managed with good will and lots of smiles and gestures and broken Spanish (from us). Sotres is a gem. So very glad we stayed here. The hotel was perfect and great value too.
Fantastic hotel in an amazing location with lovely staff who make you feel like you're part of the family rather than staying at a hotel - also worth noting their excellent local knowledge, pointing me towards some unbelievable hiking. Couldn't have been better - would highly recommend
After a long day of hiking, it was lovely to end up here! It's a small family owned hotel and restaurant, and they made me feel so welcome once we arrived. We loved sitting on the terrace with a well earned beer and listening to the birds chirp and admiring the view.
Hosts were so kind, town is in such a cool location and has so much to offer to experience the Picos. Breakfast was wonderful and the overall experience was amazing. (do be aware that Sotres is a 30 minute drive from the start of many trail heads)
Excellent location in center of Sotres. We had room #10 which has a large balcony with great mountain views. The owner is super nice and really wants to make sure we are happy with everything. Good restaurant on property.
Wonderful hotel in the mountain with a great restaurant and brand new showers. Manuel was the best- so friendly and welcoming, with great recommendations for hikes in the area. highly recommend the hotel and town
This was not only the best hotel in town but also the best restaurant. It was in the heart of the beautiful mountain town of Sotres where you could access hikes directly from or 25 minutes from Poncebos.
Nice basic hotel in the middle of a very nice village in the mountains. Room comfortable. Shower was particularly good, very powerful. Some nice food options close to the hotel.
